I could definitely use them in Colorado! The amount of dirt and snow it gets all over the side and back of the vehicle makes daily washing almost necessary.

The 8.4 doesn't scratch - it's the center display (and, for that matter the bezels over the tach and speedo) that are made of soft cheese.

Nope, but it sounds like a good idea. Those are some cheap, thin plastic wheelwell liners in these things.

In my experience the Journey has very little drive by wire throttle lag. It's never caused me an issue on the highway when I need it most. The 200 on the other hand has HORRIBLE throttle lag. It may as well have been a turbo lag. Slam on the gas, count to 1 Mississippi, then it goes. This tech would definitely be recommended for that vehicle. Not that FAC shouldn't fix it with a firmware update anyway for safety reasons but they won't.

Or slam on the gas. The AWD difference is definitely noticeable then as it just digs in and goes without raising the front end.

Welcome! I plan on going the HIR route myself. I seriously dislike the light cutoff on projector bulbs as cool as they look.

How quiet the interior is. I've been spoiled and didn't realize it until my wife complained about brake noise on her 2004 Jeep Liberty. When I drove it around the neighborhood I couldn't believe not only how loud it was inside but how loud the window motors were too. Love my 15 Journey!

Gaz it's probably because the standard options on the comparable vehicles here (Craptiva, Territory) fall woefully short for the price you pay on a DJ. Xtrail ST-L is a decent choice but that is only a 4cyl with a CVT transmission.
I've found the Dodge to be a happy middle ground.

    Hi All,

Helped a friend load a coffee table into their Kia Sporatge on the weekend. Well tried to anyway but the middle seats don't fold flat so the coffee table legs hit the roof . So it got me thinking about all the little things I appreciate in my Dodge Journey

Flat folding middle seats Under floor storage indicators that flash 3 times with just a flick Front head rest tilt forward at the bottom (so passanger can use a pillow on those 1000km trips ) I am sure there are heaps more that I havent mention, but it just goes to reminded me what a brilliant vehcile the Dodge Journey is

I work for a dealer. With the last eight of your VIN, I can provide you with factual recall information for your own peace of mind, if you wish.

And there's no airbag recall for the Journey, which is why I asked.

Ask your selling dealer to schedule the car to be seen by their District Service Manager. The car still falls well within the basic 3/36 warranty as you are aware. Digital imaging is required for authorization prior to performing warranty paint repair issues which is what the dealer did for you, but I really don't understand why your claim was denied based on the location of the damage and the warranty status of your car. The DSM has the authority to override a denied claim if he/she deems the repair as warrantable, and if the denied claim is overturned by the DSM then your dealer can go ahead and repair the car and their claim will be paid.

    Welcome aboard;
It can be done, but the reflector is less than optimal. If you want to do a conversion, get a good projector assembly and rework the headlights. Anything else is a serious compromise.
I decided to keep my lighting as legal as possible and simply purchased HIR bulbs - about 50% more lumens for the same watts and the bulbs are almost plug-and-play. I paid US$73 shipped to Canada for a full set of 4 bulbs.

You apparently haven't seen what used to be the standard radio. LoL
Aside from your sound issues, I can't say many bad things about the 4.3.
I think it's a step fwd for dodge overall.
The 8.4 is a leap fwd in time though.

I am going to miss him too. I did not know that he was sick until I read that he had passed. I thought that he was a hoot!
The Mayor of Washington, DC was also caught smoking crack! Everyone has a skeleton in their closet.

You may want to take the plank out of your own eye before slamming Americans as crazy. I've read plenty of stories from Canadian media that were equally nuts (like the guy who defended his property that was under literal attack and is now facing jail time). Just something to think about lest you think your government is perfect.

I had mine added by a dealer licensed and warrantied car audio place when they upgraded my UConnect system to a Pioneer NEX one. Not sure what they used but you cannot see the camera as its small and mounted above the license plate on the bottom of the trim. It's probably a Chinese $15 one. They're all about the same and have decent day/night vision. They did great work.
