  1. Congratulations on your purchase. From a very satisfied DJ owner, GOOD CHOICE!!
  2. Yes, I know it will be busy but we won't hit the border until Sunday afternoon... hoping the worst of the traffic is already crossed. Thanks for the reminder tho as an ounce of prevention beats a potty emergency any day.
  3. Thanks, been there, done that, many times. Always something new to enjoy at the Henry Ford/Greenfield Village complex.
  4. SWMBO and I are planning a road trip to PA and OH and ???? first week in September. Entering NY at Queenston/Lewiston crossing and heading south into PA. Couple or 3 days planned around Lancaster, Altoona, Strasburg, and Gettysburg. Maybe Hershey.... Eventually heading thru OH and MI and back to the Great White North. Looking for destinations and attractions along the way. Covered Bridges, trains, interesting drives, etc. Thanks in advance
  5. Hi Journey Bound. Welcome to our little corner of the 'net. Just an FYI, there's at least 3 of us on here from Windsor.
  6. Oh, I LIKE this idea!! Don't even have to leave town.
  7. What did you do to modify the mount? I've been thinking of trying that with the Nitro. Might be the Journey is similar.
  8. I put a set on our Nitro as well. While they DO help keep the sides of the vehicle clean, (which was the intended purpose) they are in the way when entering/exiting the vehicle. The Nitro has a very poorly designed seat in that there is a piece of plastic on the side that is prone to breakage. I've replaced the driver side, now the passenger side is broken. What the running boards did was make it more difficult to miss that plastic piece when entering/exiting the vehicle. I would caution you to monitor this on your Journey. While the Journey has a much better designed seat, the plastic on the edge might still break over time.
  9. Rear wiper? I drive a tractor-trailer.. what's a rear window? I never use it... I too forget it's there.
  10. No check engine light. And yes, totally intermittent so the odds of finding the problem, if there is one, is probably impossible. Not sure I can reproduce it as it probably only happens about 1% of the engine run time, but we shall see what happens.
  11. No RPM fluctuation... it's just as if there is a plug not firing and the engine is running very rough. Then it's gone and the engine is just purring away like it's supposed to.
  12. 2015 DJ w/V6 5000km I'm noticing an occasional pronounced miss when sitting at a light in gear. Anyone else experience this? Doesn't seem to affect drivability or engine power. Making arrangements to take it into dealer to have them look at it, just curious if anyone else has experienced this.
  13. Hope you enjoyed the Toronto traffic... there's nothing quite like it anywhere. Wave as you go thru Windsor on your way to Detroit.
  14. Welcome to our little corner of the 'net.
  15. You can check yourself for a build sheet. On the left side of the page.. look for "equipment listing" http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/index.html?screenName=newVehicle&country=us&emailUrl=goToEmailForm%2528%2527R%2527%2529
  16. +111 on the not being programed. Good catch guys, forgot to mention that.
  17. Hi Aramno. Welcome to the forum. Call your dealer and ask them. Every dealer seems to be different. You could also check Ebay. I've not looked for one for the Journey, but I've seen lots for my Dodge Caravan.
  18. OK, finally had the time to create a quick playlist... IT WORKS!! Created one via Windows Media Player, copied it to the SD card and it showed up in the list when I hit the "playlists" button. I think this is going to work out fine as I can put multiple playlists on the same card.... will have my choice then, all depending on what I'm in the mood for. And, Dave, some of the songs had the cd front cover show up with the song. Not sure if I want to go thru and add the jacket to ALL the songs, but it might be interesting to find out how it's done.
  19. Well, I'll throw my hat in the ring in favour of a (insert your brand choice here) GPS, instead of the factory NAV system. My wife has one in her Nitro, and while it DOES work like it's supposed to, the inability to do almost ANYTHING with it while driving turned me right off. That, and the price of the updates. Sure, the indash unit is convenient, but not worth the price IMHO. I installed a disk in the center of the dash over the radio and mount the gps there. I find mounting it to the windshield puts it too far away for convenient use.
  20. Well, I have to throw my hat in the ring as another very pleased Journey owner. Mind you, I've only had it about 6 weeks atm, so maybe my opinion will change as time goes on. 2015 Dodge Journey Limited. V6 comes standard in the Limited, (would NEVER consider a 4cyl in a vehicle this of this size) Here in the Great White North, the 3rd row seating is also standard on all DJ's now. For my particular needs, the 3rd row was set up once at the dealership, and will probably never be set up again, but that's just me... have no need for 7 passenger seating anymore. Altho, the rear heat/ac has come in handy already, As for fuel economy, I'm getting about 26mpg to the US gallon.
  21. Really? Art? What, the front cover from the cd? I didn't think it would display graphics on the screen while driving. I've stayed away from Apple products, always felt they were too proprietary.
  22. i'm not sure what the 4.3 uses, but if I read the manual correctly, the 8.4 will recognize windows media player playlists so that is what I'm going to try. I will let you know how I make out. I've been carrying a 4g flash drive with me for a while now... when I go down the hi-way at work, all our hi-way trucks have USB slots in them so it's nice to have some good tunes to listen to. No playlists, just a general shuffle, which is OK too. Just thought that since this has that option, I can create a list for me, one for the "Boss" and one for both of us. As for Itunes, I'm immune... don't own any Apple products.
  23. Well. "apparently" you can create playlists with Winblows Media Player and they will be in a format the radio will be able to read. Mind you, I haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure that's what I read. As for the larger flash drive, I have a 128g coming, but that's really overkill for my needs... the other ones I used were small ones, only 1g. I had a spare 8g sd card so was going to start playing with it.
  24. Finally starting to set my music up on an SD card and just curious as to which most people are using.... creating playlists, or just putting music in folders and playing from the folders? I've also used the USB slot to play music from, but it's pretty inconvenient to change thumb drives inside the console while driving whilst the SD card is right in front.
  25. I experienced something similar with my '15. Started out with trans not shifting out of low gear, then shifting normally but banging into gear very harshly. In my case, it was the speed sensor. (I assumed an input speed sensor, but not sure) Not exactly like your problem, but similar.
