  1. What I think dhh3 was asking is did you put the seat back up... you said "is just folded"... did you "unfold" it before attempting to move it?
  2. All depends on your dealer. Mine didn't charge me anything for it.

    Tire Chains

Don't worry about aggravating anyone... we're a pretty thick skinned group here for the most part. I can't help you with the chains... never felt the need for any so no experience with them. Try them and see what you think... if you don't like them, you don't have to use them. From what I understand, and I "could" be wrong, they are not difficult to install/remove so not difficult to install on the side of road if you get into a situation where you need extra traction.
  4. And it should not change anything else, unless you specifically ask them to address other issues.

  6. If it's the same engine, I would think it should be the same procedure.
  7. That's exactly what I'm doing. It's not broke anymore, so nothing to fix.
  8. I have the 8.4" screen without the NAV system. On Sunday, started the DJ, and when I pressed the brake pedal to put in gear, the screen on the radio went blank. Then the message flashed on the screen "System disabled, see dealer for service" or something similar. Unfortunately, I didn't write it down. Within 10-15 seconds it came back to life and has been working normally ever since. Anyone else experience this, or even heard of it happening?
  9. Hi, and welcome to our little corner of the 'net. If that is city driving, or maybe mostly city with a bit of hi-way thrown in, that's pretty much what I am getting in my '15. Winter gas, cold weather running, extra idle time, remote start run time, all combine to beat up on your fuel economy. When the weather warms up, you should notice a marked increase.
  10. Hey, they say they checked the blinker fluid when I got my last oil change.... and the muffler bearings are supposed to be good for 50k miles, so am a bit away from that. No, I saw it for what it was right away... just thought I'd throw it out there as another indication of how far these places will go to attempt to separate people from their cash.
  11. Was at the dealer today for the recall on the ABS module. Was told at my next service, they recommend a "brake caliper cleaning" What??!! Service advisor sez: "Vans and Journeys are terrible for this... the calipers get dirty, and the brake pads wear prematurely. We take them off, disassemble, clean, lube, etc." I sez: "Really? what a unique way to generate revenue for the dealership." I'm sure the only disassembly that would be done would be to remove the calipers from the mounts and clean the area, and maybe lube the guide pins. Anyone ever heard of this? I know, the factory brake pads are cheap and throw a lot of brake dust out" but I thought this was a bit much.

    Rubber Matts

I've got the factory slush mats and they seem to perform adequately. Check the classified section here on the forum. There were both Husky and Weather tech mats for sale recently.
  13. Hi Patrick. Welcome to the forum. 120K? Good job!! Sorry, can't help with the maintenance schedule, but I'm sure someone will be along with the right information.
  14. Mine is rubbing on something when I open it and I haven't been able to see what. It "appears" to be right at the very top. It's going in on Wednesday for the recall on the ABS harness and they are going to look at this as well.
  15. I did a search... maybe was searching for the wrong stuff..... IDK. Thanks for the pic. I'm thinking the Mopar splash guards/mud flaps definitely, the nerf bars or running boards I'm undecided on. We have running boards on the Nitro and they're actually more trouble then they are worth.
  16. I'm planning on adding some mud flaps/splash guards to the DJ. Also planning mud flaps or nerf bars. Anyone add these to their DJ's? Any pics? One brand better than the other? Or did you just stick with Mopar? I put Mopar ones on SWMBO's Nitro a few years back and was happy with the fit/finish so am leaning in that direction.

Neat idea... Rolly, move over, I need a bit more room.
  18. That is the 3.5L engine? I've got the Pentastar, so can't go and look for comparison purposes. Have you checked the rad hose above it for a split or pin hole? It looks awful close to the top of the valve, maybe it's got a hole worn in it? And, I agree with 2late4U, that's a nasty leak.
  19. Yes, my understanding of an "EGR valve" is that it opens a cavity between the intake and exhaust manifolds to facilitate Exhaust Gas Recirculation. I'm thinking if it has coolant coming from it, and it IS the EGR valve, you have bigger problems. And, according to what I have found, that IS the EGR valve, but again, no logical reason for it to have coolant coming from it.
  20. When you sprayed it, did you work the arm pivot back and forth to loosen it up? It worked on my van when I had a similar problem.
  21. This is exactly the problem I had with my mini-van. Pivot on arm seized up.
  22. Dave, isn't the Corvette museum the one that had a sink hole a few years back?
  23. Arby's? Paducah has an Arby's? Ooooh... big doin's for the small town.
  24. Planning on a trip in April to Paducah,KY. Big quilt show there so have to SWMBO a fix for her quilting addiction. Current route is from Detroit to Louisville,KY or Elizabethtown,KY for the first leg, then on to Murray,KY for the next couple of days. Then one o/n stop on the way home from Paducah. Looking for any attractions or "must see's" that you might be familiar with along that route.
