Also I am using the XTool any scan, I've been complaining that the relearns arent being allowed/performed and I just found out thats because autoauth or the bypass cables is REQUIRED to clear codes or do any special functions (relearns, oil reset, or etc) on any Dodge Chrysler 2018 or newer. THAT IS CRAZY, nobody told me that haha.

 

I'm now getting the bypass cables and will be doing it tomorrow. I will keep you all posted.

UPDATE: I've decided to sign up for Autoauth with my XTool and attempted to perform the crank/cam relearn....it was not able to do it. It did let me do the throttle body relearn and it passed. But then as I attempted to drive the vehicle there was no reaction to the gas pedal which was wild. I had to park it and do a manual throttle body reset (again) and then the gas/pedal was in sync. This is very strange and I'm not happy with this...

 

Everything I have attempted to fix or etc, keeps coming back or cant complete the relearns or etc. Then all of a sudden out of know where I get another new code..

 

-Body Controller (BCM0 Code)

-Occupant Restraint(ORC) B273413 

-Instrument Panel Cluster(IPC) U010000 Lost Communication With ECM/PCM-

 

I have no clue where to go from here, and no idea why random codes keep popping up. But hey the engine is running, there is no torque still (torque request denied code)...and the random brake signal failure is still there.

I have had the same xtool for a few months now. Have mostly used it on older before 2018 vehicles. However I recently used it on my brother's 2018 ram for an airbag light.

 

It gave me the "no fcamauth" warnings, then let me through to read the code anyway. After finding the loose plug and reseating,  it then let me back in to clear the code.  My model stated it worked with out a bypass cable, so far it has. Not sure why, diff firm ware?

 

Not letting you calibrate sensors could be tied to something else. For example oil pressure is used to control cam vvt solenoids, there is probably an acceptable range. Maybe it's right at the edge.

I agree, and posted to the OP that they should check into the VVT solenoids(intake and exhaust) in his other topic relating to the brake codes. Due to the pictures of the HIGHLY SLUDGED cylinder head/valvetrain area of pictures he had posted about possible timing chain.

  At least pull them out and TRY cleaning them with spray carb cleaner or brake cleaner spray.
