You may just want to actually post the code that's coming up.

Nope the passenger storage seat was on heated seats as well.

No plastic guard I bought a reman from Parts Source and had my mechanic install it

You got a lot more life out of yours then my wifes did. We got 4 years and only had 48000 km on it when it went
-
Mine works fine when it's not dirty

I will say, there seem to me to be alot more Journeys in Canada then I have seen on the roads when I'm in the US

You're reading a forum where alot of people come looking for help. Not everyone has all these problems.Mine a 2013 has had an alternator replaced and at 80K Km I am about to do the brakes.I also had a recirculate actuator go to sleep on me but hasn't acted up since.
So you listed or cherry picked the forum. What exactly has gone wrong with yours? And just a note, last time I drove by a Toyota. Honda,GM (add all others here) they all have service departments.

Short answer is that it would be quite inconvenient to pull the fuse on average the 5 times a day I turn my car off and it’s on the passenger side. I really feel Dodge should take some accountability for this issue considering many have this exact issue.
You can rough it and not have the radio work, easier than ripping apart the wiring to test.Take a bluetooth speaker for a while.

From this it would appear the 68222279AA is the correct one for a Journey?

You can enter a VIN at this site to check

Glad you got it fixed. We have the same year Journey and I ran into this almost a year ago. I replaced the actuator but when I pulled the old one and just plugged it into the wiring harness it seemed to work. Some people report that tapping them can "wake them up" but there are 3 in the vehicle all the same so now I have a spare.

There does seem to be a difference between parts with my 2013 and the 2017. I can find the rear blower motor resistor for a 2017 but not a front.

Where you show it should be looks right from a video I saw but maybe you have a different climate system?
-
Doesn't have to be a leak.I still haven't replaced my original brakes yet but they will be ready in the spring. But as the pads wear, the fluid level of course goes down and ours was tripping the brake light on when parked on an incline.
-
Check the brake fluid level?
-
I haven't done it but I suggest you state what engine you are working with if you want a valid answer.

I find this guy has some very useful videos including this He is the one who helped get Dorman to make the replacement parts.

When we had this problem a while back it was the alternator.Because it wasn't charging the battery you get battery save mode. How was the alternator tested?Pretty easy to test it on the vehicle with a multimeter.

The 3.6 loves the highway. It's a pig in the city for mpg but get it out on the open road and it performs.

There is one beside the glove box at the right that is for fresh air or recirculate. Another is to the left of the glovebox that I would assume is for the passenger side
-
The recirculate actuator is behind the glovebox on the right side of the cabin filter location.I took it out and when I plugged it back into the wiring harness it seemed to work. But I ordered a new one from the US for about $15 canadian since my wife will be there next week. You can order from Amazon https://www.amazon.ca/Dorman-604-029-Air-Door-Actuator/dp/B00HRSP2A6/ref=sr_1_1?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1552110225&s=automotive&sr=1-1&vehicle=2013-40-6800-2962--9-6--13827-14-1-1--246-2&vehicleName=2013+Dodge+Journey
I also recommend this
There are 2 philips screws holding it in but they are a pain to get at unless you unplug a couple of the wiring harnesses underneath.
If you simply remove the actuator you can manually put the door into fresh air until you get a new actuator, that's what I have done for now.
Check out this on youtube. The recirculate actuator is shown around 1:05 in to the video he's not sure what it is but that's the one that chooses fresh air or recirculate.

You can easily disconnect the connector from the recirculate actuator and manually put it in the fresh in position. The fact you crack the windows and let fresh air in is telling you it's the recirculate actuator. You can watch it work if you have the car running and remove the cabin filter and watch to see if the door moves. My guess is it's not.
