  1. i guess you will have this problem in about any cars with convertible car seats facing to the rear. You already have found the solution by installing the seat behind the passenger seat. I know i had the same problem. Convertible car seats are big .... i saw smaller convertible car seats but there was cheap looking and i didn't want my daughter to sit in there. So we keep it that way until we where able to turn around the seat ( front facing ). It will not be very long .. kids grow fast. this is what i have for my daughter : The Eddie Bauer Deluxe 3-in-1 Convertible
  2. Are you sure you want 19'' ?? to date there is only one manufacturer ( that i know of ) that make the tire size 225-55-19 and it's the factory Kumho Solus ... they are not common and hard to get. my suggestion is to go for 17'' with size 225-65-17 , this size is very common and lot of tires choice. But .. hey .. it's your call
  3. I pinned the topic .. lots of infos here , especially post #3 with picture and pin out.

    tires

you can downgrade to 17'' wheels and you will have plentiful choice of tires. Tires size for the Journey is 225/65R17 and tirerack.com offer about 40 .. that's a lot ...this is a very common size. This is perhaps one of the reasons why there is a lot of 19'' Journey wheels on Ebay

    VIN numbers

this is better : type in your VIN http://www.pronto-net.com/vin_app/vin.php
  6. i don't know myself yet , but there is a way for sure because the day you will need to get your rear suspension to be replaced the third row need to be removed and the two interior side panels too. it's the only way to reach the top nuts to remove the rear struts .. quite a job..
  7. wow .. hehe , big screen , well done. Just a little bit too big for my taste but that's only my opinion. i was thinking doing something like this with a folding screen or something like that and use the stock ontop door to hide the screen. Thieves love big screens
  8. not only the radio , when I turn my car off and remove my key i can still use the powered window for a short while ... everything turn off when i open my door before the delay expire.
  9. i have modified so many cars to date ... in this case i know the Journey is based on a modified Sebring / Avenger platform and many parts are similar across models perhaps you can start there .. or maybe you can have you're hands on a universal adjustable coils over .. a bit more expensive but it must have a set that will fit.
  10. well.... The journey is everything except a performance oriented vehicle.... the R/T is only a trim level of equipment in this case. You should have known this before purchasing when was the last time you saw a set of header or some eibach coil spring for a Caravan , Montana or Odyssey ?? same thing for the '' Family '' Journey oriented car ...heheh
  11. to my surprise , i have found the exact same black trail on my Journey but mine is on the passenger side. Don't know what it is exactly ...does it really coming from the interior ( bad wielding) or something has fallen on it and and burn ? they did the undercoating on my journey so perhaps this is it. I have also a small round black spot under the same muffler.... i will try to clean it and check in a couple of days if it '' leak '' again. im not worried about it ... if the engine was producing that much amount of carbon then why the interior of each muffler tips is clean of carbon deposit ??
  12. this kind of comment is useless and inappropriate , if you don't like Dodge simply don't post or read this forum. This site is for helping each other discuss and share infos , obviously you have failed.
  13. after one year owning the Journey .. worst case was 13.5L/100Km and the best i could do so far is 9.8/100Km
  14. i don't know what a Key fob for a journey without a remote start looks like but this key fob is for a car .... this is not a a mini journey , it's a car symbol ... my friend have this exact key fob for his Chrysler 300 .. this button is to open the trunk. no need of this button on a journey because the rear gate unlock with the door ..... obviously you didn't get the right key fob with your journey ...but who cares , it works. this button has no use for you.
  15. humm.. anyone know where this tranny '' vent '' is ? so i can have a eye on it .... can i see it from the top when i open the hood or you have to crawl under the car ?
  16. Did you turned off the ESP ? ..if you are stuck in the snow you will never get out if you leave that on and the car will not move ..or feel like no power.
  17. well , if you want my opinion , im 100 % sure this bumper was repainted with the same color and they didn't prepared the surface properly before doing it ..... that's why it's peeling ...
  19. well then .. why just don't setup one and get things organized just like we want ?
  20. i used a shrink tube big enough to cover the relay and the capacitor , ill see how long it will last
  21. yes i know .. but he sound like the thing is about to melt ..lol
  22. I do not criticize anyone or this '' how to '' I only questioned the use of a 35V capacitor .... i quick google showed me tons of topic of the same kind ... some use 35V other 25V .... they make me think they used capacitors because they were told to do it and don't know how it work. You mention that your relay is getting hot ... not suppose to, well mine is still cold after 20 minutes of continuous operation. Most HID relay that are sold are rated 12V-40Amp (well the one i have is , i have made the relay harness myself ). have you checked with a multimeter how much voltage your relay is getting when your car is running ? perhaps you are getting a bit over 12V .....
  23. humm ... why a 35V capacitor when the system is 12V ?!. Do you know why the relay is clicking like mad ? it's because the relay don't get a stable 12V and the voltage received is pulsed. what the capacitor do is store energy and help to regulate the voltage. So when you connect the capacitor in parallel with the relay it regulate the current and stabilize the voltage allowing the relay to get a stable 12V. About the capacitance ..well it's up to the user ..sure you don't go lower than 470ųF .. but you can get a 4700ųF or a 1000ųF .. higher the number bigger is the capacitor and it's ability to regulate the voltage but for this simple application get a small one. i used a 16V 470ųF capacitor and it's half the size of your 35V ..... i used a 16V because sometimes when the alternator is charging you can get 13-14V at the battery so 16V is the safe choice.
  24. didn't go in the streets .. freezing rain out side but this is some pics at night. looks like the light pattern is almost the same
