  1. We have a 2009 SE we bought in March with 36,000 miles on it. We now have around 42,000. We have no problems except a paint issue that the dealer fixed. We are looking at a 2009 SXT with 38,000 miles and a third row (as our 2nd vehicle) It is FWD so we will not have the tires issues that come with the 19". Were there more "qulaity" issues with the SXT's? I have read a few threads tonight and it is hard for me to tell.
  2. Thank you! it is an exact match - it has been a few days now and still looks great so i am going to go ahead and order one of those bumper protectors I saw posted on here
  3. Well, they fixed it yesterday - they say they stripped the bumper and repainted it - can they do that in one day? They only had the car about 6 or 7 hours.
  4. Well, my husband just got back from the dealer- they said bring it in Friday when the paint guy is in and they will fix it - they admitted there was a scuff on the bumper and they tried to touch it up - obviously that didn't work- so hopefully they fix it right - it has gotten much worse in the last two days - now the middle of the bumper is bubbling. I am happy they are going to fix it though!

    ESP question

We live in GA so not a necessity right yet but how do I know it is working since our journey is used? There is a button on my dash that says ESP off and it looks like there is a light under it - the light is off - Does that mean the ESP is on or off? Also, I have read that when it "kicks in" a symbol of a sliding car will show up on the instrument panel - I am not likely to see that down here so how can I check that it works?
  6. We bought it with 36, 928 miles so of course just out of warranty - they gave us a 75,000 5yr bumper to bumper though supposedly - I might try this weekend to take it back and see what they say but i bet it is a hastle - even though I didn't do anything to it, obviously the person before me did. if there was an unreported accident that would not be a warranty item anyways but maybe worth asking
  7. Yes it is the original color - they only used it on the 2009s it is surf blue or something like that on the dodge website - I figured it was that the bumper was not prepared properly. I'll have to see how much it will be to strip the bumper and repaint it - I wonder how fast it will peel
  8. We have a 2009 SE purchased with 37,000 miles on it. We wouldl ike to use synthtic - we used castrol syntec in our caravan, The car requires 5W20. If we use synthetic, how often do we change it? the manual states every 6000 miles or 6 months- that seems long enough to me even with synthetic. or does the SE also have this oil change warning I see others posting about?
  9. We just picked up our used journey so i don't expect it to be perfect but what the heck is this peeling on the bumper? carfax says no accidents but maybe one was not reported. It is blue that peels and it has a silvery backing but there is another blue layer underneath it?
  10. We just bought a used 2009 dodge journey SE yesterday with 37,000 miles on it. So far so good
