Lobitz68 got a reaction from jkeaton in Some data on transmission performance
I tend to try and poke a little fun on the board (all in good fun) in my replies when they don't need to be too detailed... You'll pick up on that soon enough. Life is too short to be serious all of the time.

791 posts and the second most likes on the forum behind the moderator. Clearly I am not helpful on the site at all and just a troll... There is no fix, deal with it until Chrysler does (not going to happen). My advice works just fine on my DJ. If you're going to come to the forum with a pissy attitude and start calling people names you aren't going to get very far... Feel free to go somewhere else and ask for help, see where that gets you. Tool...

Nothing smart ass about my reply at all... I deal with the shift by accelerating faster. Since there is no way to adjust the shift points or characteristics of the transmission, that is the only way I am aware of "fixing" the issue. When you accelerate through it a little more aggressively it isn't nearly as noticeable and I have not found it to be an issue. You could also use the manual shift, but that gets a bit cumbersome in traffic.

INCORRECT
Superchips is a tuner company that cracks into the vehicle programming and changes parameters that affect driveability, shift points, HP, torque, fuel economy and so on... Superchips is a reputable and proven company that provides a quality product which performs exactly as stated. I owned one for my Dakota and Ram and they are well worth every penny...nothing available for the DJ though.
The cheap ass chips on eBay are the ones you are talking about.

They are, but I think they both fit as long as you're not concerned about the cargo cover.

Just because it isn't enforced doesn't mean there aren't laws...

I have removed the floor on mine to install wiring for the subwoofer... it is pretty easy to get everything out. You do need to remove the side panels first, but I think it was like 2 or 3 screws per side and a bunch of snap fittings. Quick and simple.

The 2 row version does have a lot more floor storage... I have thought about this too, but mostly because I have NEVER used the third row and would love the extra storage. I think you can just replace the floor, though the 2 row does have the option for a cargo cover. In order to get the cover I believe you would need to replace the side panels in the rear as well.

You have... Either that or someone else told me the exact same story one time.
This year is the first year that I have bought snow tires. I drive according to the weather, but with all of the driving we do in the winter, it doesn't hurt to have a little extra assurance. Certainly people have been safely driving on snow fore dozens of years without them, but my biggest concern during the winter is other drivers. If they help shave 10 feet off of my stopping distance and prevent an accident, then they were worth every penny.

I have AWD, but I do agree that it handles the snow quite well. This year I bought snow tires for the first time in my life and so far the ground is still bare. Go figure...

I believe that is the only difference. I don't know how the canbus part plays with the Dodges though. The capacitor should be wired into the "in" side of the relay. It's a decent size relay though, what do you have laying around?

I don't like how the front ends, but other than that I think it looks good. Something about the points on the front is too asymmetrical or something...can't quite put my finger on it. Love to see people make things their own, post up pics when it's installed!

Hmmm... good question. It can be annoying. I wouldn't mind a notification that didn't audibly interrupt the music. Have you looked in the owners manual? I bet the answer is there if it is possible.
