  1. I read your entire post twiice but still can't grasp which bulbs are for which area of the DJ. I would love to add LED's to the front fogs but my understanding is that they are an "odd" bulb. I have been to the website above and can't find LED's for the DJ fogs.

Can you offer any help as in which bulb will fit the fog housing???

    Thanks

    Sorry, ours is a 2012.

The bulb is a 2504 which V-LED's doesn't even have a cross reference for.
  2. I use an Android app called Torque Pro which works with a Bluetooth OBD II adapter. The adapter which I got off eBay for about $30.00 plugs into the ECU slot under the dash. It provides the ability to read any and all codes the engine could throw. Luckily, I haven't had any codes thrown yet so I use it to monitor all other aspects of the engine. It has a dashboard on my Samsung GSIII and gives me everything from speed, rpm's, intake temp, 0-100km time plus over 100 other parameters. All this from the ECU - not GPS. This is an awesome app. There is a trial of the app but you must have the BT adapter. Sorry to get off topic but I know if my check engine light ever comes on, I can run a diagnostics right from my phone. If I can fix the issue myself- great. If not, I at least know the problem going into the dealership. Very much worth looking into. Cheers.

  4. I just received the front only window deflectors in dark tint. It has been a long process to get them as I went through Chrysler, a dealership and MacNeil Automotive. Over the last three months I have been working with all these companies to address my complaint of water entering the window due to a poor windshield / pillar design.

WeatherTech's window deflectors are awesome. They look great, they work and they don't stick to the exterior in any way. Only problem I experienced for the first 48 hours is that the windows would not auto-up. Now that they are seated, the windows go up and down as normal.

  5. In the second seat, one could cut the "hump" portion off creating two separate "trays" allowing easier access to the coolers. Would have to weigh the loss of the protection over the "hump" May be just as easy to remove the second seat mats when needing frequent access to coolers.

Yah... not an option for our DJ as we still have 3 kids at home so one is always sitting in the middle and her feet rest on the hump so I want to maintain the winter protection there. Not sure many people would use those in floor coolers in the winter anyway. Better in the summer for cold beer at the beach.
  6. Wife backed it up into the corner of a huge concrete pillar in our garage. took out the driver side tail lamp, bumper knocked out, and sheet metal crumpled... So much for the rest of the christmas shopping; at least the kids have been taken care of.

Just so freakin' frustrated as the accident could have been avoided easily if she had just straightened her wheels after she had parked the car originally...

Unfortunately, you can only fix one problem.

Just kidding. Sh*t happens. At least she wasn't hurt... your wife I mean.

  7. Attention to The Dodge Journey Forum Moderators...

Could we please get a "How To" section for The Dodge Journey Forum? I think that this would be a valuable tool to this forum. Maybe a couple of the most requested "How To's" could be stickied such as an Engiine Oil Change for example.

Being a past and current member of many other automotive forums, they all have a "How To" section. Here on The Dodge Journey Forum, videos, pictures and written details could walk anyone through a specific "how to" for their Dodge Journey.

I know that there are currenlty how to's scattered all over this forum but to get them all in one place would be a huge benefit. For example, I just completed a DIY oil change and learned a lot as it was my first DIY change on our Journey. I would be willing to contribute to this new section as I am sure many other members would be whether it is a simple oil change or how to build an intake system or how to change the rear wiper or how to change a fog light bulb. The list of "How To's" goes on and on and on.

Thank you and I hope that you will take this request into consideration and if fellow members feel it would be an asset to the forum - speak up and reply to this thread with your support.

    Cheers,

    Rob

  8. other than my self who has went to their journey to go some where and try to open the door only to find out you left the keys in the house, LOL i have got so use to not haveing to have the keys in your hand to start it that i dont pay any attention to where they are.or you set them down in the car and then try to lock it only to have the car beep at you to let you know you have left your keys inside. oh well thats progress i guess

    Guilty :)
  9. Ditto.

I know this looks really nice but I believe this may well accelerate the bubbling / peeling process by trapping condensation behind the covers. I think the best process is to wrap them with a high quality vinyl like a 3M product if you want them different than the body color. In the spring I may wrap mine in 3M Di-noc carbon fibre vinyl. So far I have not experienced any paint peeling - touch wood.
  10. Welcome NSJ. Congratulations and enjoy. We've had ours since June and love it. So far we added a K&N drop in, Dodge molded front and rear splash guards, WeatherTech front mats, Dodge door sill protectors and took some of the badging off the back - looks cleaner and we just tinted the front windows. You'll love all that torque when it's needed. Power galore. Please post some pics if you get a chance. Would love to see your new ride. Cheers

  11. Off topic - does anyone know if you need a special tool to push the front brake caliper piston back in (to put the new pads in)? Or can you just use a c-clamp to push them in like other vehicles?

My understanding is you need a special tool for the rear but the fronts is a straight forward change like any other car (c-clamp). There is a topic somewhere on here regarding the process for the rears. Cheers
  12. Wow, that sucks.

I'm feeling fortunate that mine came new with locking lugs from the dealer.

Ya... that really sucks. The size of some people's balls!!! Our 2012 SXT came with locking lugs on the truck as well as a new pack in the back with the trailer tow package bag. Hope your insurance company takes good care of you. Cheers. PS: The bra looks great.
  13. Yes... congratulations and again, welcome from Canada. We see a lot of Journeys in Barrie, ON also but most are the Canada Value ones. 2 quick questions for ya... Did you have the option of the V6 across the pond or just the 2.4 and what is the price of a litre there now? The reason I ask is we lived in Scotland from 97' to 99' and if I remember right it was about £1.30 ($2.50 CDN)per litre. Enjoy your new ride. Cheers.

  14. Hey all. We just got our DJ in June but I am a bit of a forward thinker. Right now thinking about spark plugs. Of course there are OEM but then there are Iridium, NASCAR Advantage, various Platinum brands and the relatively new E3's. Looking towards the future, has anyone with the new 3.6L changed their plugs yet and what did you use? Just looking for some general knowledge, do's & don'ts and input on when the time comes, what direction would YOU go? I tend to pick parts up when there on sale knowing I may not require them anytime soon but their in the garage when I need them. Thanks for any advice, knowledge or experience that may come from this topic. Cheers.

  15. Nobody has an actual replacement LED bulb that will fit without modification? Is it just because it is a new "Chrysler" only bulb or just a new bulb that no LED specialty company has deemed in demand for sale? I don't mind making modifications but if I can wait a month or two for an LED to perfectly replace the OEM bulb with an aftermarket LED, I would rather wait. Anybody's thoughts???
