bigtsr got a reaction from aukfan33 in Recalls
I realize this is easy for me to say BUT before you give up on the manufacturer
try another dealer because that's all they are "franchised dealers".
There can be a world of difference in response or care given between
any 2 of these sales/service points be they a block or 100 miles apart.

I would say your best source would be a recycler/junkyard to pay reasonable price.

bigtsr got a reaction from dhh3 in 2010 Dodge Journey SXT ESP/BAS light and Traction Control Light on
Past posts would indicate a speed sensor (transmission/wheel) has failed regarding cruise control,
the brake light could be a indicator of a bad brake switch assy and again your right this could be
a player in the cruise problem.

bigtsr got a reaction from dhh3 in Oil Change
Rule of thumb has always been when the oil change indicator comes on/at least every 6 months/
whatever mileage you personally feel comfortable with or can afford.
Yea can see the GM dealer writing up that "failure to do maintenance" report.

bigtsr got a reaction from jkeaton in Wipers Always On, no turn signals, etc...
Welcome to the forum.
You can check for recalls and other info here:
http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/index.html?screenName=newVehicle&country=us&emailUrl=goToEmailForm%2528%2527R%2527%2529
It would sound at first read that your turn signal/wiper control stalk has failed either
that or what is specified as the electrical "clockspring" in the steering wheel.
I would recommend having a dealer look at it as it is an electrical problem.

bigtsr got a reaction from jkeaton in random honking doors unlocking and windows going down
Welcome to the forum.
You can not disarm the horn overall but you can turn the horn
off when using the key fob and you do this via/thru the settings
screen in the radio.
Be sure that when you get in the DJ that you are not accidentally
hitting the door LOCK button as you get in as this will actuate
horn beeps once you close the door.

bigtsr got a reaction from jkeaton in random honking doors unlocking and windows going down
Welcome to the forum.
There have been past posts about similar strange happenings.
They have related to the door regulator module or broken
wire in the loom between cabin and engine compartment.
You may want to try resetting the TIPM/computer link
by disconnecting the battery at the negative jumper post
for 10 - 15 minutes.

bigtsr got a reaction from WytChoclitJ in Exterior cleaning process
I believe if your a automotive entusiast or live in an enviromentally crappy air
quality (next to a steel mill) this would be the way to go , having said that I
apply "Nu-Finish " polymer 2x a year from the day I pick them up and I have
never clay barred any of my cars.

bigtsr got a reaction from jkeaton in Driver side window stops going up halfway randomly ?
I would say that if your not dententing to the "auto" point
of course it's going to stop but "not" at the same specific
position constantly.
It's possible that you may have reprogram the auto up
stop point (this was posted in the past) by I believe
physically holding the button to down for 1second after
it reaches that position then do the same for full up.

bigtsr got a reaction from dhh3 in New safety recall recieved in mail yesterday
Here's another.
Manufacturer: FCA US LLC
Number of vehicles affected: 112,001
Report Date: January 29, 2016
Issue: FCA US LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2009 Dodge Journey vehicles manufactured December 31, 2007, to August 31, 2008, 2008-2009 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country vehicles manufactured June 18, 2007, to August 31, 2008, and 2009 Volkswagen Routan vehicles manufactured August 11, 2008, to August 31, 2008. bigtsr got a reaction from dhh3 in Radio Changing Stations on its own
Past posts on the forum end up being tied to basically 3 causes ,
switch on steering wheel , clockspring cable or poor cable connection
at radio.

bigtsr got a reaction from dhh3 in Might add engine oil cooler to 15' crossroad what do I need?
They have both coolers - tranny sits in front of rad and as you can tell
from pics the small oil cooler sits above the oil galley.
As for add on coolers I am not sure where they mount them
from factory but aftermarket targeted coolers usually come
from trade as where to mount them per individual car models.

bigtsr got a reaction from OhareFred in Battery saving mode
Be pro-active and print Journeyman245s post out
and bring the hardcopy to your dealer when you go for service.
There are a lot great people in service but unfortunately
there are many who need a push in the right direction.
-
bigtsr got a reaction from dhh3 in 2012 Journey Crew 3.6L - battery problems
Batteries don't leak rust so it must be poor drainage
from the battery tray assy.
If they have replaced the battery then it is ruled out as
a source of dampness.

bigtsr got a reaction from dhh3 in TSB: Idler Pulley Noise 2011-2014 3.6L
Usually starts after the first kid comes along.
But could be similar to the "defrost button" , you have to keep pushing it to make go!
