  1. General, Let me know if it shows you the info after ships as I have others asking the same question. Thanks...
  2. Army, Please see posts #42 and #47 in this thread. If the dealer is not fixing your problem then I would suggest calling the Customer Assistance Center at 800-992-1997 (US) 800-465-2001 (Canada) They will help get your problem resolved.
  3. General, They are making changes to that system. Unfortunately at this time only the dealer can look up your vehicle information via their system which is DealerConnect. I do not have a time frame on when it will be back and what functionality they are changing.
  4. Skull, While I will not rule out the aftermarket wiring hookups, there was a Service Bulletin on a battery drain issue. As far as it working for 4-5 months, the battery may just be getting to the point where the constant drain is taking its toll on the battery. Anyway, the TSB is listed below perhaps it will help. NUMBER: 08-016-11 REV. C GROUP: Electrical DATE: October 07, 2011 SUBJECT: Flash: No Start, Battery Drain, B1606-95, B16AF-15, B16B3-15, B1632-15, B1636-15, Passive Entry Slow Response, Trunk Lamps Shut Off Too Quick, Trunk Release Button Inoperable OVERVIEW: This bulletin involves flash reprogramming Body Control Module with new software. 6. Mike, Glad the dealer was able to solve your problem in short order.
  7. Tyre, PM me your VIN and what symptoms you are having and I will find any TSB's that may address your issues.
  8. Chris, I have sent the information posted on this thread to our radio engineers. Thanks....
  9. MWG, If you have not done so already, you should call the Customer Assistance Center and make them aware of the problem. They can possibly get someone from Star Center (Chrysler tech) to take a look at your case. If nothing else you should call them so they can document your issue so that if the low oil condition causes an engine failure you will have documentation of these problems already on file with the coporation. Customer Assistance Center Canada 800-465-2001
  10. MB, As soon as a fix is available I will post it on this thread.
  11. Travis, Found this TSB on the high pitch noise issue. Perhaps it applies to your vehicle. There is also one on the tires but indicates after 20 minutes or so of highway driving the vibration goes away. Does yours go away? I have included that TSB as well. If you PM me your VIN I would like to follow your case. NUMBER: 21-008-10 GROUP: Transmission and Transfer Case DATE: November 10, 2010 SUBJECT: Transfer Gear Bearing Noise OVERVIEW: This bulletin involves replacing the transfer gear bearings. MODELS: 2010 JC Journey 2010 JS Sebring/Avenger 2010 RT Town & Country/Grand Caravan NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicle equipped with a 62TE automatic transmission (sales code DG2) built from January 1, 2010 (MDH 0101XX) through July 28, 2010 (MDH 0728XX). DIAGNOSIS: Customers may indicate that they hear a high pitch noise or growl coming from the left side of the vehicle. NUMBER: 22-002-10 GROUP: Wheels/Tires DATE: May 07, 2010 SUBJECT: Vehicle Vibration / Shake At Highway Speed OVERVIEW: This bulletin provides information to diagnose vehicle vibration concerns. MODELS: 2009-**2010** (JC) Journey DISCUSSION: Tires used on the Journey models include nylon cap material as part of their construction. Tires that include Nylon can temporarily "flat spot" when vehicles are shipped by car hauler or rail and if vehicles are stored for an extended period. Immediately following delivery, some vehicles may exhibit a vibration / shake due to temporary tire flat-spotting. The vibration may be felt in the steering wheel and / or seat, and may be most noticeable at highway speeds, 60mph (96 kph). This may be misinterpreted as an out of balance tire. NOTE: Do not attempt to rebalance the wheel/tire assembly until the vehicle has been driven for an extended period (10 to 20 miles) at highway speeds. If the tires are flat-spotted, the vehicle vibration will go away after the tires are warmed.
  12. 20, No TSB on this issue. You may have already done this but I'll post it in case you did not. MANUAL COMPASS CALIBRATION CAUTION: Do not place any external magnets, such as magnetic roof mount antennas, in the vicinity of the Remote Compass Module (RCM) located under the left rear section of the roof panel. Do not place any electronic devices (cell phones, laptop computers, PDAs, portable DVD players, etc), on or near this section of the exterior roof panel as the RCM performance may be effected. Do not use magnetic tools when servicing the RCM. <br clear="left"><br clear="left"> NOTE: Confirmation that the proper variance zone is programmed, is recommended whenever manual compass calibration is performed, (Refer to 08 - Electrical/8M - Message Systems/Message Center/MODULE, Compass - Standard Procedure) for the appropriate procedure. The electronic compass unit features a self-calibrating design, which simplifies the calibration procedure. This feature automatically updates the compass calibration while the vehicle is being driven. This allows the compass unit to compensate for small changes in the residual magnetism that the vehicle may acquire during normal use. If the compass readings appear to be erratic or the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) displays “CAL”, perform the following manual calibration procedure. Also, any time EVIC service replacement components are installed, they must be calibrated using this procedure. Do not attempt to calibrate the compass near large metal objects such as other vehicles, large buildings, or bridges; or, near overhead or underground power lines. <br clear="left"> NOTE: Do not attempt to calibrate the compass near large metal objects such as other vehicles, large buildings, or bridges; or, near overhead or underground power lines.<br clear="right"><br clear="right"> Calibrate the compass manually as follows: <br clear="right"> 1. Start the engine but leave the vehicle in “PARK” . 2. Using the U-Connect Touch ™ screen, select SETTINGS either from the hard controls on the sides of the screen, or from the menu selections at the bottom of the screen, depending on model. 3. Scroll through the menu, and select CALIBRATE COMPASS. 4. Select ON , the “CAL” symbol will come on solid in the EVIC display next to the compass direction that is displayed. 5. Slowly drive the vehicle on a level surface away from large metal objects, and power lines. Drive the vehicle through two or morecomplete circles, not exceeding 8 km/h (5 mph). The “CAL” message will disappear from the display to indicate successful compass calibration.<a name="CHR3dec39b8f2fb10048867f05f16396f1b"> 6. Confirm that the correct direction is now indicated by the compass. 7. Press the BACK button to return to the main menu.<br clear="right"><br clear="right"><br clear="left"> NOTE: If the compass display indicates an inaccurate compass heading or the display is locked up, the RCM (if equipped) may be inoperative and require replacement.<br clear="left"> NOTE: If the “CAL” message remains in the display, either there is excessive magnetism near the compass, or the EVIC is inoperative. Attempt the calibration procedure at least one more time before performing EVIC diagnosis.<br clear="left"> NOTE: If the wrong direction is still indicated in the compass display, the area selected for calibration may be too close to a strong magnetic field. Repeat the manual calibration procedure in another location.
  13. Woodsey, Did the dealer flash the new amplifier? If not it may have same problem as the old amplifier which may not have needed to be switched, just flashed. Below is the TSB on this issue. Perhaps it applies to your vehicle. Below that is another TSB relating to a no sound/power condition. Listing both because I do not know your VIN. NUMBER: 08-052-11 GROUP: Electrical DATE: August 27, 2011 SUBJECT: Flash: No Sound From Radio OVERVIEW: This bulletin involves flash reprogramming the Amplifier with new software. NOTE: This bulletin applies to LD, LX vehicles built prior to July 25, 2011 (MDH 0725XX) equipped with 276 Watt Amplifier (sales code RD7) or 506 Watt Amplifier (sales code RFD). SYMPTOM/CONDITION: The customer may indicate that the audio system is muted or the audio does not play. NUMBER: 08-048-11 GROUP: Electrical DATE: August 06, 2011 SUBJECT: RHA And REB Radio Software Enhancements OVERVIEW: This bulletin involves upgrading the software on the RHA or REB Radio. MODELS: 2011 (JC) Journey NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built prior to July 13, 2011 (MDH 0711XX) equipped with UCONNECT TOUCH 4.3 CD/MP3 (sales code RHA) or UCONNECT TOUCH 4.3S CD/MP3/SAT (sales code REB). SYMPTOM/CONDITION: · No display and no audio on radio. · The driver's heated seat soft key is grayed out on the radio display. · CD skips repeatedly while playing. · CD jumps tracks after cranking the engine, turning the radio off and then on, and/or after depressing the stop and then play soft key. · In USB playback mode a blank screen, or the last displayed screen, is displayed when the ABC soft key is pressed. · An iPod Nano connected in USB mode may fail to play and/or the Pause and Play keys are reversed on the radio display. · Multiple instances of the same Sirius Game Zone entry may be displayed.
  14. Mike, Put it in a sandwich bag with some plain uncooked white rice. Use the zip lock type or some other type bag that seals tight. Leave it in there for a day. If that does not work it may just be that the dryer bounced it around and knocked a connection loose.
  15. General, The RB5 radio did not include the VR system. It does not mean that all radio's with Uconnect do not have the voice recognition system. This was communicated to the dealers via their sales codes guides long ago. But I am not going to go over that again because I have already posted that on here numerous times. As far as the owners manual goes, it will list every possible option that is available on your type of vehicle in case it is equipped with those options, it does not mean you will have them. I have requested that they take the entire 2011 lineup of Journey information from the website since their seems to be so much confusion on this issue. As far as pausing Sirius Radio, yes it does exist and no you cannot pause FM. But to be sure there is no confusion, what exact radio are you talking about and what year? I'll check to be sure.
  16. Ram, If you can get me a part number I can tell you what years it will fit. PM me with it and I will let you know.
  17. No matter who is going to get them first, the dealer must still have the order placed. To place the order the dealer must have the part numbers and then the orders are filled, based on priority. While it may be true that pre-orders will receive the first batch once the backorder on the parts clear, there is no reason the dealer cannot give you the part numbers. I would suggest you contact the Customer Assistance Center in Canada at 800-465-2001 to get your issues documented and let them get with the dealer to resolve your issue.
  18. Allison, If the dealer cannot solve this problem for you then I suggest you contact the Chrysler Canada Customer Assistance Center at 800-465-2001 and have them get involved like I suggested to Tammy above.
  19. Geurny, Did they give you the part numbers? If you get them to me I will check on the holdup and find out when they will be available.
  20. Geurny, If you are talking about the voice recognition function then I would refer you to the Infotainment thread that this issue has been talked about at length. In a nutshell, if your radio does not have the hardware built in from the factory there is no way this functionality can be added at this time. While the people I have talked to here at Chrysler do not rule out some type of hardware upgrade in the future, I do not see how they will ever be able to add hardware to an existing radio. Of course I am not an engineer, but I have never seen it done.If it was a simple software upgrade that would be a different story. I will post any new developments on this issue when I get them, but I do not see how they could possibly do it. Sorry for the bad news.....
  21. DHP, I am not aware of any fix yet for the radio volume at startup problem. If / when a fix for this issue becomes available I will post it here.
  22. Arm, The current selection will start over when the vehicle is shut off and restarted. I do not know of any plans to change this for the new model year.
  23. Archy, If you want to PM me your VIN I will check for any other RRT's or TSB's that may apply for when you take the vehicle in for the recalls you have mentioned.
