  1. Took my 2009 R/T (3.5 V6) in to see about a few things and the check engine light reported an issue with the EGR sensor. I've found talk about the EGR valve and how it sometimes sticks and throws the light, but is there a difference? Also if I choose to replace the EGR valve assembly myself is there anything that has to be done with the computer? Flash? Firmware? or anything else that might require the dealership to perform the work?? Thanks guys and gals in advance for your help. Omar
  2. Visit mofv.com and they have the latest updates for all model mygigs (built by harman-kardon). The site will tell you haw to access your current version, download and install the latest. You can also get the latest version of gracenotes for CD track information. Good luck. Omar
  3. symbasys is right, all journeys are high-speed and a low-speed unit won't work at all!
  4. Yes, it is possible to replace the factory rear entertainment, BUT it's a serious task. You will have to adapt the brackets, probably make your own cabling (to match with factory) and match the unit size in case the headliner is cut underneath. Good luck. Omar
  5. Jordan I need to ask you a couple of questions about your system to be sure. Do you have in-dash 6 disk CD/DVD changer? Do you have a separate screen mounted on the upper part of the dash? On the lower right-hand corner of the radio do you see the letters R-E-U? If you answered yes to these you have the model REU with remote screen on the dash. That model radio does not have Ipod control capabilities....at all. My wife has the same in her 2009 SXT. Omar
  6. If you have uconnect and bluetooth on an REN you should have a connector in the glove box. If so, you can purchase an apple ipod/iphone cable that will plug into the glove box cable and then into your Iphone 4 that will allow you to stream. That's the only way, the REN doesn't do bluetooth audio streaming. Also check out this site for lots more information on mygig radios. Omar
  7. You could pull your radio fuse and then the neg battery terminal to see if a reset will help. I've seen the help on the older mygigs (like I have), not too hip on the new units. Hope you get it fixed, OH, make sure you pull the fuse FIRST. That was known to hurt the older models. Omar
  8. I haven't heard anything about the complete front facia, but there was a thread about the 2011 honeycomb grille. I'd be interested to know about that also. Here is the thread about the grille, don't think it's exactly what you wanted. Omar
  9. Madmaxman What year is your journey? Mine is a 2009 and it's not under seat either. I haven't located mine yet. Omar
  10. I'm not sure what the problem is, but if you go to this site maybe you can find some ideas. Hope you get it taken care of. Omar
  11. Sounds like you have a REN model mygig radio, confirm this by checking three letter code on bottom right of unit. Also sounds like you have one of the many mygig units that has HDD issues. This can be fixed by you, with some simple computer skills. Visit this site, they have firmware updates especially for HDD issues. MOFV will give you all you need to know about updating your unit and also has a forum where you'll find folks that know a great deal about these units. I hope this helps. Omar
  12. The site I posted the link for lists part numbers. See if anfrantay will post his help for everyone to benefit from. Good luck. Omar
  13. Could be a bad sensor. If under warranty, I would see if the dealer will do a "redress", meaning change out the gromets and seals. Other than that I'm stumped. Hope you get that handled soon. Omar
  14. Koziol I thinik you might find part numbers for what you need here. Seems like you need the harness that connects the REU to the separate screen. Poke around on this site and you should find all you need. Note, you have to look under navigation display. Omar
  15. All good advice, kicker has speakers that are made for mopar systems which I've heard make a noticable improvement. Check this site. They are made for the Nitro/Liberty, but if you are upgrading it's a good idea to get away from conical speakers and go with rounds. IMO
  16. Looks awesome D! Very good choice, it really works well with the 2011 front end!!
  17. The amp is 368 watts running 7 channels. The way I would suggest, is components up front, coaxials in the back and leave the sub. Keeping the factory amp gives you some really good features.
  18. What model radio? Look in the lower right hand corner and there should be a 3 letter code (i.e REN, RER). Also, was the vehicle in motion? None will play in motion unless a bypass is installed. Hope that helps. Omar
  19. I really like my michelins. I have had not troubles and the ride is nice. I have taken several long trips in my RT and the ride hasn't caused the wife and kids to miss a minute of sleep. As far as snow, not yet, don't get alot of that here in Texas. But wet traction is very good. I'll be replacing my tires soon and I'm going for the same again, maybe I'll look into an upgrade model but they will be michelins. I thought there was a post just recently about 19" snow tires, check that out. Omar
  20. You're welcome, one thing I forgot to add. I think that bezel holds a 7 or 7.5" screen.
  21. Unfortunately, there are not alot of options for the 4.3/8.4 as of yet. But pac audio makes some really cool plug & play devices that plug into radio and factory harness and give RCA's with really clean signals that rival any aftermarket deck. Like this unit. But it doesn't list compatibility for '11 or '12 journeys. Before I used a LOC( you're right, line out converter) I would shoot Pac an email just to verify you can't get anything like this for your '12. Maybe they have something that works in the new charger which seems to have same system as journey. IMO Although I have heard about several people that have been perfectly happy with LOC's and there performance. Good luck and can't wait to see some pics Omar
  22. It sounds like you want to put a factory looking screen in the front seat? If that 's the case I think what you're looking for is in the diagram. Numbers 9 & 11. These are components from the model REU mygig with separate screen. 9 - 1GD10DK7AC 11 - 1MU05DK7AA Here are the part numbers you'll need. Hope this is what you're looking for. Omar
  23. I have michelin lattitude 235/55/R19's on my stock 19" rims. I don't have any rubbing/clearance issues and the change to the spedo is only about 0.2mph. Actually I think CDJ released a list of compatible sizes other than the factory out of stock tires. Omar
  24. I think you're gonna have to wait a few years for the aftermarket to catch up. Having the HVAC integrated into the HU makes things very tricky. UNLESS you wanna go the old school route I took in my 96 caddy. I kept the stock radio, for door chimes & to keep the security system in check, and added an aftermarket HU, amps, speakers and subs. In that case YOU WILL be rewiring the entire car and not to mention having to hide another HU. Sorry Omar
