  1. just curious when you guys got your first oil change done?  did you do it when the light came on?  when it hit 3000miles?  my buddy has a durango, he is about to change his oil change for his first time at 500 miles.  i thought that was odd so i figured id ask what you all have done.  also what oil do you all use?  in our grand caravan im using high mileage synthetic blend. (same engine as the journey)

  2. i have a 3 month old journey gt. without this problem.  id say take it to the dealership.  its on them (dodge) to fix it since its so new.  id take it in when your at least 3/4 empty, and take the service guy with you to the gas station and show him EXACTLY what it does..  that way he can schedule you an apt. for later cause id say itll need to be empty for them to work on it

There is a problem with the rotor material on the Journeys. The rotors are prone to warping. Cheap steel is usually the reason. I have 20,000 and when the brakes get hot they pulsate. Usually happens on the highway with 70 MPH speeds in traffic. I changed my 13" front rotors and pads out with EBC rotors and pads. My original pads had about 5/16 material left and wore real nice and even but I hated the pulsing. The EBC can be found on sale and are a step up from OEM and Sure Stop. Just my .02.

do yu happen to have a part # to which pads/rotors you used?  also do you have their calipers too??  i think some red calipers would look nice on my dark grey journey lol

There are a couple of threads on the subject. I got mine off amazon for @$20. Has been working flawlessly for over a year now. Stays put on the windshield even in the hottest weather.

hmm i didnt find them, i did only search for the term dashcam however LOL

  5. the one im leaning towards the most is the thinkware f750.  researching it, it looks like it handles heat well.  i think its more of a matter of having a good quality heavy duty type of sd card.  most only handle 64gb cards so they will have to be done on overlapping loop depending on what resolution. which id put it on the higher end 1080p at least.  they have pretty decent mounts too.  was thinking of mounting it on that black rounded part on the winshield in front of the mirror.  that way it might be overlooked if someone was wanting to swipe it.  plus you can get a rear camera to wire into it as well....

I wasn't aware the chrome sill guards don't actually touch the sill, looks like I'll have to order them. Hate seeing scuff marks/scratches from shoes & want to keep it from happpening.

Anyone know where I can find them besides Dodge Canada? They want around $260 + 15% tax for the 4 guards!

Some things I hate about prices here compared to the U.S. I'm shopping for winter tires too & we pay a lot more here for no good reason, some even made here like Michelin.

i got these.  there is NO difference in them vs the ones from the dealership.  even had the dodge part number sticker on the underside.

  7. ive never seen em, i actually just put in the stainless ones last week. they look fantastic and i would totally recommend them.  as for rusting i really dont see any way there will ever be rust.  the stainless isint in contact with the paint job of the car.  its got double sided tape thats thick enough to keep a small gap but its not noticeable

  8. so i noticed today one of my blacktop rims has a scratch on it.  look's like a possible rock flung up and scratched it.  has anyone else had this happen?  if so how do you fix?  touch up black paint?  ive never had black rims before so im at a loss LOL  bummed out though, haven't even made my first payment yet.........

  9. my new 2017 is the same.  blurriness in the daytime, and grainy crap at night.  its still decent enough to NOT hit a car or wall behind me but still crappy.  id LOVE to have a crystal clear camera.  at least during daytime.  i figure at night less light = less visual quality much like a normal camera more light = better picture.

if i could swap it out somehow for an HD camera id do it in a heartbeat!

Do you mean E85? As in flex fuel?

no regular 85 octane.  here in Colorado we have 85,87,91 octanes.  in some rural areas we have 89 octane

ive never used E85.  our grand caravan allows it too but ive heard good and bad about it so ive never tried it LOL.  and ive always used regular 85 in it too.  i guess since its the same engine i should use 87.

as for the journey, i guess ill be using 87 then.  ill be filling it up with its 3rd tank fill tomorrow too!
