Brighter Reverse lights

just so you know.........the reverse lights are NOT for you to see where your going when in reverse. they are designed to inform those around you that you are in reverse with limited visibility. if you want super bright light in reverse you may want to get some small form factor LED fog light kit and install it in back.... -

just curious when you guys got your first oil change done? did you do it when the light came on? when it hit 3000miles? my buddy has a durango, he is about to change his oil change for his first time at 500 miles. i thought that was odd so i figured id ask what you all have done. also what oil do you all use? in our grand caravan im using high mileage synthetic blend. (same engine as the journey)

just curious if anyone has put a screen protector on their 8.4 screen? i found this one..... was just wondering if its worth it or not? i cover my cell phone screens so i searched for something for the journey screen too!

i have a 3 month old journey gt. without this problem. id say take it to the dealership. its on them (dodge) to fix it since its so new. id take it in when your at least 3/4 empty, and take the service guy with you to the gas station and show him EXACTLY what it does.. that way he can schedule you an apt. for later cause id say itll need to be empty for them to work on it

do yu happen to have a part # to which pads/rotors you used? also do you have their calipers too?? i think some red calipers would look nice on my dark grey journey lol

Trouble with LED headlight

just out of curiosity..... do yu have the oem headlight housings? if so do you have a pic of the led's turned on? id like to see what they look like from inside the car..... -
i just searched that and the only option there was this thread haha anyway did you hard wire it in? could i see a pic of how/where you mounted it?

the one im leaning towards the most is the thinkware f750. researching it, it looks like it handles heat well. i think its more of a matter of having a good quality heavy duty type of sd card. most only handle 64gb cards so they will have to be done on overlapping loop depending on what resolution. which id put it on the higher end 1080p at least. they have pretty decent mounts too. was thinking of mounting it on that black rounded part on the winshield in front of the mirror. that way it might be overlooked if someone was wanting to swipe it. plus you can get a rear camera to wire into it as well....

i was thinking of putting in a dash-cam. been doing some research on it, got it narrowed down to 3 different units. anyway was just curious if anyone has one in their journey? if so pics? did you hard wire it, or just do cigarette lighter?

if you have the 8.4uconnect there is an option in there to make the honk or blink with door locks. you can turn it on or off on the touch screen. the horn is loud as heck, so i have my horn turned off but parking lights blink when i lock doors... -
guys im looking for exactly what you said. i may have mis worded. i have 3 tablets already. im just looking for a good NON wobbley tablet mount/holder for the headrest area.

so i was just wondering, does anyone have any hands on experience with a headrest tablet mount? im looking to get one, there are a lot to choose from however. ive never had one and am not sure if some are better than others? im not really looking to spend a fortune on one just something sturdy for a 10" tablet thanks!!

are you doing it while driving or when in park? some features are greyed out when car is in motion.

8.4 uconnect question

so the one with themes and apps is the older one? -
so i have a question. ive seen youtube vids of durangos and chargers. their 8.4 screens have themes and an app section. i dont have any of that. i look on uconnect site and it says mine is up to date. im just wondering if the apps and themes are not for the journey but are for the others? am i missing something?

ive never seen em, i actually just put in the stainless ones last week. they look fantastic and i would totally recommend them. as for rusting i really dont see any way there will ever be rust. the stainless isint in contact with the paint job of the car. its got double sided tape thats thick enough to keep a small gap but its not noticeable

so i noticed today one of my blacktop rims has a scratch on it. look's like a possible rock flung up and scratched it. has anyone else had this happen? if so how do you fix? touch up black paint? ive never had black rims before so im at a loss LOL bummed out though, haven't even made my first payment yet.........
