    I'll post photos and details
just a little patience, i'm out for work for a couple of days and my freemont is in my garage at home
(Anyway, finally i could use the lights swich in the "auto" position. When you start the engine the high beams are dimmed. When you turn on the lowbeams, the dimmed high beams turns off and so on... it works like oem drl)

DJs sold outside North America haven´t enabled DRL's, and it's not possible adding sales code to our VINs, so, this is a pretty good way to have DRL using high beams (as you say, at lower power, I suppose that's why relays must be used).
I've been reading a little bit about relays and connectors, and I can´t guess how high beams are powered without setting on the switch on the lever next to the steering wheel.
Please, italian friend, need some help.

    Relay on high beams
    dimmed to 30%
8 seconds after engine start, DRL turns on
when i fire the low beams DRL turns off
No loss of high beam functions
the switch low beams ->DRL and DRL ->low beams is immediate
    A smAll video

Used 2 HB3 and one H11 extension connectors
to let the oem wires untouched

the relay cables are crimped to the extension

    Hi
It seems to work fine indeed. Is it possible you post some pics of wiring and connections?
I am looking for a way to have DRL on my DJ since I bought it, so I've liked your video, and I'm going to try something like that, but I need some help.
I've got a couple of questions:
Is light switch set to off position when DRL turns on?
Is it possible to switch DRL off?
    Thank you in advice.

FYI. Factory DRLs come on as soon as you put the car in gear (D or R). Mine are my high beams at a lower power. But, I have seen DJs that use their front signal lights as DRLs. Not sure when/why the change came about.

First thing to try is disconnecting the DJ battery at the negative jumper
connection for 10 - 15 minutes , reconnect to see if fault cleared.

Where to start. Yesterday I turned on my push start system on my 2011 Dodge Journey and 10 sec. later the Service keyless entry system message came up along with the annoying dinging noise.
It still lets me drive but the annoying dinging still goes off.
Today, I get in with no message this time but it continues with the annoying dinging noise. I noticed that my interior lamps were all on also. So I turned them completely off with the adjustment knob. When doing this the Drivers side door light shows on the menu. (my door is definitely closed). When everything is like this I only get the annoying dinging every minute or so. Not as bad as the first issue but still annoying.
I replaced the Battery in my key fob which didn't make a difference. Help, dinging is drive me nuts and trying to avoid my dealership since they will charge a diagnostic charge.

How do you have it programmed? Mine is programmed so it will unlock only the driver's door with the first push. The second push unlocks the rest of the doors and the hatch.

Incidentally I notice some odd sounds yesterday while the hood was open and the cold engine was running. Seemed to last a lot longer than I'm used to, a few minutes.
Wasn't high pitched though, it sounded more like a louder lifter tap. I figured it sounded louder simply because the hood and hood insulator were upright, and not blocking the sound coming from the engine bay.

It is not - the 3.2 is a Cherokee option, but the pulley is the same on both engines.

I printed out the TSB. I'll take it in to my dealer. I have not started mine for over a week. I was in the Hospital, and can not drive for another 5 days. So, I went out and started it. and it makes a sound like the power steering pump is going bad! It is definitely a rotational noise.

The 3.6 has an inherent moaning-type sound upon cold start. Mine is particularly loud. My experience has been that the sound is louder in transverse applications like the Journey and the minivans. The Grand Cherokee, Durango and 300/Charger have a longitudinal engine orientation, and for some reason the moan is not as loud in those cars. It is not the same sound as the idler pulley in the TSB. That is a high-pitched screech or whistle-type sound which usually only lasts a few seconds; maybe more in extreme cold. Also, in extreme cold startups, the power steering pump does make a short-duration sound, similar to a low-fluid condition. The manual states that this sound is normal due to the high viscosity of the fluid at low temps. The moaning sound that I describe lasts a couple of minutes, then it is gone once the engine begins to warm up. I have been monitoring STAR cases and TSB's to identify the source but none have surfaced yet. Apparently it is not a mechanical issue since everything still works perfectly on my engine with 34,000 miles now. It has not gotten any worse, either.

Yep, 75-80psi for my startup and the first few miles of driving. Then it goes down to the 30s psi. That's all normal ranges for this engine.

On the Nitro 4.0, the optional oil cooler is added between the filter and the block. Is is the same way on the Pentastar? If so, possibly it was not reset properly at the last oil change.

    Sheldon Doyle,
    Welcome to the forum.
After reviewing the oil pressure specification for the 3.6L Pentastar, your vehicle seems to be within the normal value range for cold start up.
Keep in mind the oil pressure is always going to be on the high side on start up, especially in colder conditions due to increased oil viscosity.
However, it would be beneficial to visit your dealer again to monitor after a cold start considering you've issues.
Other members will chime in and hopefully share some data as well through their observations.

    Hi All,
    I have a 2014 Dodge Journey R/T 3.6 Pentastar and I just love it.
Last week it developed an oil leak, then when I was driving home Thursday the check engine light came on. I immediately when to my Chrysler Dealer.
The undercarriage was soaked with oil leaking from the Oil Cooler. The engine fault was a P060D high oil pressure. The technician was unsure if the leak had caused the high oil pressure issues or the high pressure caused the leak.
They replaced the Oil Cooler, shampooed the engine and everything seems fine...........Maybe.......
I decided to keep my central electronic console in Oil Pressure mode, to keep an eye on it. Upon starting my car the electronic gauge reads High over 600 KPA (~90 PSI) and it stays there until the engine temperature gauge gets to normal running temperature. About 10 minutes driving time. At that point the oil pressure drops to normal about 30% between Low and High. About 200 KPA (30 PSI).
The thing is, I don't have a reference point for what is normal oil pressure for a cold start in the morning. Is it typical to run at 600 KPA until the engine is hot, or do I still have a high oil pressure problem?
If other Journey owners, who have the capability of seeing their Oil Pressure values could post them, it would go a long way to my piece of mind.
FWIW, the ambient temperature was about 5 degrees C ( 40 Fah.).
KPA or PSI values OK just let me know.
    Thank you.

Took DJ in yesterday for a couple items prior to 3 year warranty expire in April. Dealer replaced the tension idler pulley (lots in stock - common problem I guess). I just printed the bulletin posted above. Also, ordered a new fuel pump to address the fuel indicator never going to FULL mark, another TSB issue. Made note of the hard shift / clunk issue but that is under the 5 year warranty. Fortunately, unfortunately the replaced brake pads / rotors still good (LOL)., no replacements.

Check with your local dealer, are you hearing the noise as well?

Would the idler pulley be part of the powertrain warranty? I do also have the extended warranty. I would like to get this done but I am not paying out of pocket for it.

I am just wondering if there is anyone out there who has had their journey for a while now ~ maybe a year or close to it ~ and has had NO problems with it. Please let me know. I have had many problems with mine. I have to say I have never owned a car like this one......and I have owned several cars in the past 10 years. I just don't understand how a new car can have so many problems.....really.
