We need to get more involved on here.

I have been a member of the Caliber forumz and they are Pro active. The minute someone had an issue, or problem we knew about it. I was on the site everyday. I know we all are busy, but we need to help one another out. I am not yelling or complaining, just want to get to know my fellow Journey owners. I love to customize my rides (when money is there, lol), and when I can and do I will post with pics.

New here too. Picked mine up 2 weeks ago and being a fan of forums. I discovered this one pretty quick.

Not much to talk about. As their still new and only few have problems that others can help. But at least its here for someone to shoot the question/ concern out.

OK! it started wen i picked up my Journey (called "Grey Wolf") the sensors for the brake fluid level and the fuel gauge were not working , but due to being un available and me needing the Vehicle for wrk, i took it as is.... whilst i waited for my dealer to get the parts...at 362 miles on the clock, when a badly factory fitted hose came off due to the pressure at the inter cooler end, tearing the hose and dumping all the coolant water out in to the front bumper (Fender???) and all came to a halt as soon as i could safetly stop...i had seen the temperature gauge rise rapidly, but no warning lights came on!!! it was at this popint that the alarm system gave up working correctly as well, switching on and off when it felt like it, and also just going off when not set....

whic made waiting for the recovery truck a noisey experience to say the least!!!!

Dodge Assist were very good, and soon had my Journey recovered to the dealers via a flat bed recovery truck, and i had various C,J,D vehicles whilst i waited!!!

whilst at the dealers, they found that, if the fuel gauage sensor is not working, it masks the fact that the fuelpump/tank sensor may also be malfuctioning..... which it was, and so a new fuel tank complete with pump and pump sensor was ordered, the over heating sensor was found to be temeramental also, and was replaced...along with the various brake fluid and brake system sensors....

other sensors needed to be reset on the starscan tool at the dealers where they had shut down....

and when running diagnostics it was found that the Mygig unit was not working properly, and was swapped out also, and at the same time a complete alarm system was swapped also..............

However, i now have Her back again , and she has been trouble free, and i must say, she is a joy to drive, and as a vehicle for company use, with all my specialist tooling in the back she make a perfect working tool!!!

and even after the fiasco discribed above i am still glad i got her!!!!!!!!!

all the best from the UK!!!

I have been off of the forum for a few months since the wife backed the Journey into the HOUSE! Just got it back from the Cadillac dealership yesterday and ready to pick up where we left off. It's a real buzzkill to wreck a car after 2 weeks of ownership and she did a really good job of it. They had to cut the whole rear drivers quarter panel/fender out and weld in new sheet metal from dodge. Liftgate and bumper got hit and repaired too. I guess back up cameras don't do any good if you don't look at them. It looks good as new, and she loves it again, and here I am looking to see what new things everyone has been doing to their rides. I will try to check more often now that I feel like a Journey owner again. I found some really great posts on here tonight.

I try to keep in touch on this news group. I hope I am not upsetting anyone when I talk briefly about my web sites. Web sites are my hobby. I started out my webmaster "career" by posting some personal poetry. And then I made a web site called Canada Heros and followed a year later with USA Hero. I meant for these web sites to be helpful to students who are doing school projects or essays. The trouble was that these sites never got enough support to pay for themselves. Then my brother-in-law suggested I try posting a car picture site and/or a truck picture site. So I went looking for pictures I could use on the internet. It takes hours of work to locate pictures and hope no one gets upset when you use them. I am guilty with copying the odd picture from this forum and posting them on my site. But the point I really wanted to make was, thanks to the support especially on my truck site, I now am getting enough to pay for all my expenses involved in maintaining all my sites. What is it they say, if you had breakfast today, thank a truck driver.

Sincerely,

Don Jones

I'm here daily and post in topic that i have first hand expreience with. There has only been a hand full of problems for me....One was the CAS module (Inginiton unit in dash), the other was the PS cap, a re-torquing of a CTL arm bolt, and a new PCM to fix the tranny shifting issues.

So far so good. No other issues have come up...though i am worring about my brakes from reading on the forums.

People have to be more specific on their post title and post description'

It's not much good to just say NEW JOURNEY

Life is busy enough without clicking on a bunch of threads to read stuff you seen a 100 times and know.

I will click on any link that I think I may be able to help with or may be able to gain knowledge and insight, otherwise they get passed by.
