Keyless key FOB has a key in it...

Recommended Posts

So I was tinkering around with my key fob at the table last night waiting for our drinks to arrive when I noticed on the back side of my fob a very small switch of some sort. I moved it sideways, assumed it was to access the battery maybe, but turns out it allows a physical key to slide out. I don't get it, I have the 2014 cvp, and there's nothing on it that I know of that takes or requires a key. My question out of curiosity is, what is it for?

Of course you read the user manual cover to cover before using the vehicle so you'd be familiar with it's features?

And, when you discovered something unexpected went back to the manual to figure out what it was all about?

RTFM
