Hello all,

Having some clunking noise coming from front driver side when driving on uneven and bumpy roads. Is that type of movement normal where the sway bar link connects to the sway bar? Seems like its kinda loose but after driving i jacked up the vehicle to check that bolt and it is tight. I cannot tighten it an further. Thanks!

your video didn't seem to sound bad to me,my 2014 clunks a lot worse than that ,but I only really hear it when  going  slow like over a speed bump on uneven pavement, your sway bar links did look a bit loose but have no idea they are to loose,I was just looking at both of mine yesterday since I had new tires put on and the rubber boot around he end link is cracked open from age but they seemed tight

Yeah very cool go pro Video. If you look right at base of sway bar link where you hold it with a wrench when tightening, it is clearly stillmoving with bumps. It should not move...at all. You could add a lock washer to stop that movement. End link is a ball and socket design; socket gets sloppy and that is usually where real rattle starts.

Sway bar transfers weight to opposite wheel when cornering; to help handling. It is safe to unbolt both ends and drive car for 5mins. It is best way to help isolate noises. Lower ball joints and subframe mounts are common issues on Journey.

Lots of salt being used in the nord this year, nasty winter.

No it is not the driver side CV shaft. It is the passenger side intermediate shaft. The bearing is shot.......................here is the org post as I just learned on how to copy it...LOL
