Job done! Jacked up passenger side front and rear high off the ground. Not a single drop of gear oil leaked when taking the intermediate shaft out of transaxle. The bearing of the oil intermediate shaft was completely gone. No more clunking when going over bumps or uneven road now.

Thanks for the response guys! When removing the intermediate shaft from the transaxle, transmission fluid will come out. Is there a filler hole to refill the transmission somewhere? Cannot find anything on the web. Mine is the 2.4L with the 4 speed trans

yes i had both front end of the vehicle lifted. Planning to change the CV shaft as well. Already ordered the part. Thats the part that went bad that John posted btw. 233 CAD tax and shipping included for the CV and intermediate shaft. Planning to DIY the job.

No it is not the driver side CV shaft. It is the passenger side intermediate shaft. The bearing is shot

Found the issue. Intermediate shaft bearing is done. Thats what’s causing the clunking noise. Idk why it felt like it was coming from driver side

Ok. Changed the strut assembly on driver side. Clunking noise still there. Ill get the lower control arm checked next.

The ball joint, wheel bearings, inner & outer tie rods have been changed in May 2025. Changed both link kits in december. No shaking in the steering wheel. No uneven tire wear. No pulling when driving.

Hello all, Im having a clinking noise on front drivers side when driving on uneven roads or bumps. I replaced the sway bar link already. They brand new but clunking noise persists. I noticed the cv axle makes a clunking noise when i push and pull on it. Could that be the clunking noise? Anyone else axle makes that type of noise? Ive uploaded a short video on youtube. So, fixed the battery light issue. Alternator was bad. Pulled one out of a journey at the local scrap yard. Paid 50 CAD for it. Battery light issue gone now. However, Trac Control and ABS still on at cold start. After 30 mins of hwy driving, it goes away after i cycle through the ignition. The traction control alone will sometimes appear on idle but none of ABS or trac control light will turn on while driving at hwy speed.

So i got the battery and alternator checked at my local part source store. Both are good and working as they should. Also checked all ground connections, they are all clean and free of corrosion. Not sure what the issue is then. Contemplating of just sticking a piece of electrical over the light and call it a day lol.

Hello all, the battery light stays on all the time while driving. The vehicle drives without any known issue. Everything works well. It also starts without any issue at any time even after sitting for a couple of days. Battery voltage is 12V with accessories on and 14V when driving. That means the battery and alternator are good, right? When i scanned the vehicle using AlfaOBD, i get C212A, P063A. The ABS and traction control will occasionally come one and sometimes on the traction control light will illuminate. But those light will go away after switching off the vehicle and starting it back up after 5 to 10 minutes. Its like it resets itself. I have a feeling it might be because of the battery light being on. If anyone else having such problems? Could anyone please help me out on this diagnosis please. Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the reply! Ill clean the TB. If that doesn’t work. Ill throw in a new one or a used one from scrap yard. If that doesn’t work neither. Ill change the fuel injectors. Ill give an update once done

Only the traction control comes back once in a while on rainy days but it goes away once i shut off the vehicle and restart it after 5 minutes.

Hello, i am having a similar issue with my 2015 DJ 2.4. Upon cold start in the morning or any first start of the day, there is no shaking when it first starts when the rpm needle is above 1000 but when the needle drops below 1000 rpm, the shaking starts. When i give it some gas, it doesn't shake. The shaking lasts until the temperature needle starts climbing to about 1/4 way to 1/2 way. Then, there is no shaking at all and the vehicle runs normal.

So, it looks like it fixed itself. I removed the ABS connector, applied some dielectric grease on the ABS module pins, put the connector back. I also unplugged the dynamic sensor applied some dielectric grease to the pins. Next thing you know ABS, Traction Control light, check engine light all turned off. Vehicle drive properly now. Im able to use cruise control. Before i wasn't.

Hello all, I have U0125-00 Lost connection with Dynamics sensor, U1003-88 - ESP CAN C bus performance - bus off, C0037 - Vacuum Pump - General Electronic Failure. What could be causing all this? Thanks for you help!
