Trying to identify an issue based on a sound made when accelerating. Breaks, CV, or breaking?

Recommended Posts

2012 dodge journey AWD 3.6L with 62TE transmission

The sound only happens when accelerating and stops immediately after I let off the gas.

Breaks were done recently and after disassembling they all appear to be in good condition.

I accelerated in a circle going both left and right to try to identify if it was a CV axle and it didn’t make the noise.

Can anyone help me identify the noise?

check your motor mounts. Bad ones will let your motor torque and they will rub metal to metal. It mostly happens when you torque the egine like when you accelerate.

I had to change mine. It's amazing how bad they were. Can't believe the motor stayed in the car.
