How do I get my 2013 Dodge Journey to play my music properly?

Recommended Posts

My 2013 Dodge Journey previously had some issues with the bluetooth that resulted in it getting removed (so now it has no bluetooth capabilities). I usually use my aux port to play music which is fine, I just like to be able to control my music with the screen and steering wheel buttons and also having the song displayed on the screen; I don't have that luxury with the aux. I tried using the usb port (I think it's labeled usb or iPod- when you have something plugged in- on the media selection menu), but when I went to play music from my phone (iPhone 13) it started freaking out and wouldn't stick with a song. It would select a random song in my library and play it for MAYBE 3 seconds before skipping to another song. This was my normal "music" app, so I tried Spotify, which is what I like to use anyway, and it wouldn't even try to play a song, it would just open up my music app and freak out again.

Is there anyway I can get it to work on the USB with Spotify, or anyway I can have the aux cord option have the song displayed on the screen and controls too, or do I just have to suck it up and continue doing what I'm doing? HELP!!!
