So I’ve been using the TRIL GEAR cross bars I found on Amazon since I bought my Journey and they have worked out beautifully! Very close to OEM. I also bought these folding kayak brackets to go on them! So far so good! I’ll put links in here.

  • 3 weeks later...

For many years the caravans all had roof rails and the crossbars and then they just started installing just the rails but no bars (as many drivers never used it and also probally saved them a ton of $$$$$) and then they started not even putting the rails on the top.... just another way of saving $$ if they dont have to install them.

I got my OEM cross bars at the local junk yard for $40.

they were perfect OEM MOPAR cross bars.

the thing is that I just bought some off of eBay about a week before for $120.

needless to say I ended up selling the extra pair for $60.

I just couldn't pass them up at the scrap yard. :)
