No power at all (2015 Dodge Journey 3.6 AWD)

Hi, can I get your help to address the issue on my car? Today I found I cannot start the engine and there is no light on interior indicators at all. Click the engine button many times, no response. Remote lock/unlock by key, it doesn't work. Checked the voltage of the battery, about 11~12V seems normal. Should I try to replace the fuse one by one? Any other suggestion? Appreciate for the suggestions.

jump start the car if possible then drive it straight to a parts store and let them do a load test on the battery, you most likely need a new battery it can test good like you are testing it with a meter but when it needs the full voltage the battery is dead under a full load...good luck

Something seems to be draining my battery down. I had to have a new battery installed in January. Just last week I has to replace it. Thank goodness the interstate battery has a 2 yr warranty so I didn't have to pay again. I've been having alot of issues with my 2012 journey. Hard to diagnose when the problems dont occur everytime or regularly. It's all spontaneous times out of nowhere  it starts acting up and ESC light comes on followed by ETC light blinking for a min then goes off sometimes it doesnt. And every once n awhile the MIL light goes on along with the other  lights. Again, not all the time does this happen. When it does my car chugs like it's going to cut out or die. Also when I accelerate too hard or fast it cuts out on me as if it's going to die. I've tried taking it to have diagnostic read and everyone tells me it wont pull any codes if no lights are on. But wont the computer have a history that would show on a more advanced diagnostic scan of what lights come on and why as long as no codes were cleared? So noone believes me when I explain my issues and acts as though it's a waste of time to look at. Mind you, these problems started after I had recalls fixed that I found out about after purchasing the car. Now I'm going to be expected to pay to have diagnosed and fixed and I dont feel I should have to. I'm trying to do as my third party extended warranty says to do & any car owner should do by properly maintaining the car and having it serviced, recalls etc. I'm no mechanic but from what I've researched in the specific problems I've had and recall work done, they seem to be correlated in some way but I cant get answers without dumping money into the car that I dont have and shouldn't have to since I'm not at fault and I haven't been a neglectful or reckless owner. I've only had this journey since may 2018. I'm a single mom working 2 jobs to make ends meet. I cant afford to go without my vehicle for even a day. Not easy getting rides to and from both jobs 2-4 times a day.  I've finally called dodge enough times they've given me a case manager I'm waiting to hear from in the next 2 business days. I wish times were still simple and cars could be worked in in your garage and normally fairly easy to fix. Nowadays everything's operated by a computer.  Technology is great til it malfunctions then you pay dearly for it to be fixed.

There are many threads on this forum about parasitic draw problems and what people have found to be the cause. One diagnostic practiced is to pull the fuse that powers the suspect component. You can do a search for some ideas.

In the meantime, this is, IMO, a case for a dealer. You have an extended warranty and a case manager. Please keep us informed as you find out more information.

sorry you are having problems with your journey, sometimes some are just a money pit but just as you bought a used one doesn't mean it was taken care of before you got it,also third party warranty are usually a pain in the arse to work with is it the dodge dealership you are working with or a different dealership it makes a BIG difference, and as you make the comment older vehicles are still available but they dont offer the options that most drivers are wanting these days, hopefully they can find your problem i had a 2011 mainstreet journey that i put 70 k on without no real problems except the smaller brakes that they came with, like it so much i traded it in on my 2014 and have 93 k on it with only 2 small repairs on it

I'm going through the local dodge dealership in my town because recalls I was told have to be done at a dodge dealership and also because that's who did the work they would be more familiar with what they've done to it. I bought the car through a small private owned dealership. I plan to update all forums I can on my experience and outcomes.  Stay tuned, thanks for listening to my rant in the meantime!
