Or there is a significant delay and you have to attempt starting the DJ multiple times? I think we need more info... My DJ will sometimes have a stiff brake pedal as it's not my daily driver, but I just push harder and it has starts just fine. As soon as it starts, the pedal lowers and feels just fine.
