Which MOOG Ball Joint For 2009 RT?

Recommended Posts

I have a 2009 R/T 3.5L V6. I need to replace the ball joints, but I'm getting some conflicting information about which is the correct replacement. I'm looking to use MOOG ball joints. JC Whitney is saying the 500120 is the correct replacement, but everywhere else is saying it's not compatible. The alternative seems to be the 500235. Which one? 500120 or 500235? Thanks!

Rock Auto lists K500235 for the front lower. No other options listed for Moog so that should be the one. Maybe stop by your local parts store and purchase there, that way, if it turns out not to be correct, you can return it there for a replacement instead of having to re-order and wait.

do like jkeaton said and buy local unless its a huge difference. to be sure.things have happened a couple of times when buying parts to me and being local i was upset but just a trip back to the store to get it straightened out didnt have to wait days or weeks or have to put it back together again. i would also stay away from JC Whitney, go with rock auto if you do order parts.

Thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately, local isn't an option as my only options are the main chains and they're asking twice as much as online. The 500235 ones can be purchased on Amazon right now for $25 each (Prime shipping included), so that should get here quick enough and also be an easy return if necessary. I wish Rock Auto was a more affordable option. While their item prices are sometimes lower than, say, Amazon, once you go to checkout, the paid shipping makes it cheaper to shop elsewhere. Thanks again for your help!

Yeah. I agreee. Rock auto has good prices and some hard to find stuff. But then you find out how much shipping is. I was going to order trunk lift struts for my Mustang from them but the shipping was actually more than the price of the struts. I do use them to cross check part numbers.
