  1. I wonder if they're changing the design of the OEM hitch. Take a look at this page and scroll down to the picture of the Journey hauling a trailer with a couple of boats on it. The hitch on that Journey is definitely not the vertical type. http://www.dodge.com/en/2012/journey/
  2. I had no trouble getting min I didn't have any trouble getting mine. My dealer actually had it in stock. They installed it the day my car was delivered from the factory so that I could pick it up the next day. They had no trouble mounting the wiring plug to the bracket with correct adapter (and rubber cap), and flashing the computer so that the wiring was functional.
  3. The Mopar part# of the hitch is 82210403ab. The $5 part that prevents you from having to zip tie the wiring to the bracket is part# 68026722AA. For people who want to see what aftermarket hitches look like, there are pictures of a couple different installs in this thread: http://www.dodgejour...itch-installed/
  4. I would hope you would get a much better installer. Did you see the electrical plug zip tied to the bracket instead of installed properly? That's far from a professional installation.
  5. I use Pandora through bluetooth, but I've never tried it through the dock connector. I'll give it a try, but it's probably not a good comparison since I have the 8.4" screen.
  6. My passenger seat doesn't seem to creak, but my driver's seat is creaking quite loudly. I'm going to take it in to the dealer to check out. Maybe they can just lube it or something.
  7. If there was no power to the plug and it wasn't mounted properly, did you immediately take it back or did you accept it like that?
  8. It's quite possible. If the bigger brakes are only coming on DJs with 19" wheels, there's no gaurantee that 17" inch wheels will fit.
  9. I just took a look at what was on the lot at my local dealer. They had one 2012 Crew AWD that had the bigger brakes. It was parked right next to another 2012 Crew AWD that had the smaller brakes. The factory must have switched over to the bigger brakes after they had already started production of the 2012s.
  10. Maybe it's only some countries or some configurations that have the option. The inconsistency is very strange. Even if the option isn't there for some people, I would think the dealer could disable it since that's what it says in the owners manual.
  11. Yeah, I saw that in the owners manual, which is why I was pleasantly surprised to see the option in the uconnect menu. On my 8.4, the option to enable/disable the autolock is right before the "auto unlock on exit" option. It's weird that would be different with the 4.3.
  12. The one I saw was the new style, so it was a 2011 or 2012 SXT.
  13. I saw a DJ on the road the other day that had a Flex Fuel badge on the back (right below the SXT badge). Is that badging new? I know that FWD Pentastar DJs are capable of running E85, but I've never actually seen the Flex badge on one.
  14. The autolock feature can easily be enabled or disabled through the Uconnect settings. I found it annoying, so I just set autolock to off.
  15. The spotty album art is annoying, but I can live with it. What's really driving me nuts is that fact that the system needs to recatalog my iPod every time I turn the car off. My kids constantly ask for a specific song, which is why I made sure to get a car that would allow me to easily choose a song from the 3000+ on my iPod. Now we get in the car, the kids request a song, and I have to say that they have to wait 10 minutes for the iPod to recatalog before I can select it. The voice command for selecting songs is great, but I hardly ever get to use it because the iPod is constantly recatalogging. There is no reason for this to happen every time the car is turned off when nothing is changing on the iPod.
  16. That's less than I would have thought. Is that a standard Chrysler offering? So in 20 years and 200,000 miles, they'll still be replacing parts on the car? In theory, you will literally never need a new car if they will keep fixing it for the rest of your life. I assume it's not transferable?
  17. Do you mind me asking what such a warranty cost?
  18. Everything else is covered for life? I find that hard to believe.
  19. Your lifetime warranty covers wearable parts? I thought those just covered the power train.
  20. Has anyone else gotten a 2012 AWD recently and seen the bigger brakes? I'd really like to nail down exactly which models are coming with the bigger brakes? It appears that the R/T in Canada is coming with them, but no reports of any in the US yet. Anyone?
  21. Sounds like you've got a different system than what we have in North America.
  22. Your wheels are 17", and the wheels in Moparman's pics are 19", so looking at the amount of space around the rotor won't tell you anything. The wheels are blocking most of the calipers in your pics, but from what I can see, they looks more like the smaller ones to me.
  23. Yeah, that's why I'm not even trying to compare the actual rotor size. I'm just looking at the caliper style, and there's no question that mine match the calipers in your pics of the smaller brakes.
  24. I question that. Mine was built after his and has the smaller brakes.
