  1. Astra, was it a new style hitch? If its a new hitch, does the bumper still have to be cut? Does it hang low like the aftermarket hitches?
  2. Ive searched and searched and am still coming up a bit confused. Can anyone point me in the right direction regarding which Mopar wiring harness to get installed. I have found a 7 pin harness from Mopar($270) but am only looking for a 4 pin. Ive got a 2012 Journey SXT AWD without the tow prep package.
  3. Forgive me if this has been gone over before. I did some searching and can not find a definitive answer. My V6 2012 SXT AWD Journey did not have the tow prep package available which was somewhat disappointing. I searched the build sheet and did confirm that it comes with the oil cooler. Does the oil cooler already being installed mean that if I just add the wiring harness and hitch I can tow that the max 2500lbs? EDIT: the title should be "towing without prep package".....
  4. I tried it again this afternoon and now its working via usb. Didnt change anything.
  5. Just tested out a regular mp3 song file on my iphone and it plays fine. Odd that the streaming apps dont work via the dock connector, oh well.
  6. Unfortunately after doing a little more research the auto headlamp feature is only available on the Crew level Journey. Not a big deal...off to retrain myself on remembering to have to turn off the lights.
  7. I just got my new Journey and am still trying to figure everything out. Can I leave the head lights on all the time and have them turn off when i turn the engine off without having to manually turn them off. I see what appears to he the option in my 4.3s uconnect touch system but it doesnt appear to be working or I am using it incorrectly. Currently i have the headlight off delay set to 30 seconds however the lights don't turn off. I have to manually turn the headlight switch to off. This isn't really a big issue if it is not designed like this. I have been able to do this on every car ive owned going back to the early 90's.
  8. I just got my 2012 Journey SXT AWD a few days ago and am having difficulty getting my iphone to stream audio to the radio. My Journey does not have the bluetooth feature. I can plug in my iphone into the usb plug in the center armrest console. The 4.3s uconnect touch radio recognizes the iphone, lets me control the phone and displays what audio should be streaming. No sound comes through the speakers. I am trying to do this with audio streaming applications like pandora and iheartradio if that makes a difference. Does someone know if I need a special cable other that just a plain iphone/ipod cable from apple?
