  1. Wow, $70 to $80 fillups??? That must be nice, and I thought the Canadian dollar was higer????? 80Litre fuel tank. 1.28/Litre. $102.40 fillup right now. I can just imagine what it will be here in the summer. Rick.
  2. Rob, I wonder if they had to re assign you a new VIN? Maybe there was a major problem, or shipping damage? I still say that the dealer SHOULD give you the history, as the VIN issued to you shows "invalid"? Rick.
  3. I wonder if the dealer had a "stock" order in the system that matched what you wanted, and because of that it will take longer to get. As was mentioned before, the stock orders are handled differently that special orders. I would have the dealer check your order status on the computer, and see if your name is on it, or if it shows just the dealership. Rick.
  4. dencord, actually it looks like about 7 1/2 week delivery!! I thought the same thing at first!! Rick.
  5. Our dealer sold a stock SE about 3 weeks ago. I was waiting for it to arrive before I placed my order just to see the colour. The day it came in, it was out for a test drive, and when he came back he bought it. So they have had the SE in production at some point. Rick.
  6. I know around here, the dealerships are only allowed a certain amount of "stock" Journeys at a time, and there were 3 here when I started looking at them. Since then they have been sold, and my dealer also noted that dealers from "far away lands" have been calling and hounding to offer to but them....... HMMMMM, I wonder what kind of price one could get to auction off a Journey right now? Can anyone say highest bidder? Just kidding, after this wait, we could never part with her. Rick.
  7. Yes, this forum has really taken off in the last week, with alot of new members, and alot of new deliveries. It might be time to start a new topic for new owner experiences. Sort of like a "diary". Rick.
  8. I do not believe it has to do with the NAV option, I ordered on March 30th. SXT AWD Premium convenience group Flex seating Trailer prep Convenience group 2 U Connect hands free Rear video group Entertainment group 2 AM/FM/6disk DVD/Map/Nav/Sat Delivery date is May 19th in Ontario, Canada. It is currently in Toronto loaded on a truck. That is about 7 weeks. Rick.
  9. Okay Rob, I will get that to you shortly. Good luck with the battle! Have you asked the dealer to print you the history of your vehicle from the computer? It will show the date and time for each point of production and delivery. Keep us up to date. Rick.
  10. That's interesting............Any idea what this module does, or if it is specific to model/options? Keep us posted.. Rick.
  11. Welcome to the group, have you tried the Dodge.com site? If you go to the "For Owners" tab at the top, you can enter your VIN number and see what the recall is, if any. Rick.

If you do not need the AWD, I believe that you can get the SXT FWD with 17" wheels. Rick.
  13. In the owners manual it recommends using autostick for trailering. I do not believe you will get better MPG as the computer should select the proper gear based on RPM and torque. The cool thing about the auto stick is you can technically start off with the autostick engaged, and just press the throttle to the mat, and it will automatically shift at "yellow line". Of course we wouldn't do this until the proper break in time, or if it were a rental....... Rick.
  14. "I would also like to add to Rob's post by saying that it will completely depend on what "type" of vehicle they have in production. As an example, when you placed your order, thay might be producing the FWD 4 cylinder model, which means they will produce all orders with that configuration. I would guess that they would predict which vehicle is being ordered more often, then retool for that model for a period. I also believe I read on this forum somewhere that the actual "build" takes only 48 hours. I am not sure if the Nav option makes a difference, or if it is a supplier issue. You may notice that some of the members who have ordered similar options on very different order dates, have close delivery dates. Hang in there, and the dealer should be able to show you the status. Rick.
  15. I ordered SXT AWD w/NAV 3rd row seats on March 30, delivery at dealership is scheduled for May 19. I can't recall exactly when it shipped, but I believe it was either a day after Keith or before. BTW Keith has his at the dealership now. I am very lucky to live in a small town with a very good dealership. I have never had a problem with updates, or just stopping in to talk "Journeys"!!!! I guess if the dealership is too busy, maybe they should be expanding!! I don't believe that a customer who is willing to pay such a large amount of money on something that will depreciate from the first minute you take ownership should wait that long for information. That's just my 2 cents worth. Rick.
  16. Doug, if you have the MyGig system I would check on the NAV-TV website. They are the company that sells retrofit kits for the MyGig. I believe I saw on there instructions on how to remove and reinstall the system. Other than that, check on the Dodgeforum.com site. I am sure it has been mentioned there. Good luck, and let us know how it turns out. Rick.
  17. Well done Keith, I guess you beat me!!! Mine is sitting in the freight yard, offloaded from the rail car waiting to be delivered. The expected delivery is May 19th, but the dealer said that being a long weekend, it might not be until later. Oh well, at least I know it made it into Canada in one piece!! Rick.
  18. I would also recommend keeping a detailed log on paper of everything that has happened, what day/time it happened, the weather, and the mileage. Also everytime you talt to the service department, or visit the service department, and who you spoke with. I find this is the best way to get any satisfaction down the road when you talk to someone new, and they ask about the history. When you have a blank look on your face regarding troubles, or dates, it doesn't get very far. When you rhyme off all the dates and times for each symptom, and who you spoke with, and their response, it will go alot further and alot faster!! Just my thought, as I have been there with Ford in the past. I hope all the problems get resolved for you. BTW do you know anyone eith an OBD2 reader for the computer? I bought one awhile back and it works on any vehicle 96 or newer, domestic or import. It simply gives you the trouble code, then at least lets you know if there is something serious or not. Well worth the 120 bucks! Rick.
  19. I believe that there is a trend here, my insurance is not much higher and I added some extras to my policy......Of course my son will be 16 in a year and a half, so I am sure it will go through the roof!! I have 22 years behind me without EVER putting in a claim. Oh well, I can enjoy low rates for a little longer. Rick.
  20. Welcome to the forum, maybe you could post a picture or two so we can see how the colour looks? There has been some discussion about it. Thanks, and welcome again, Rick.
  21. Papos, could you post a picture of the hitch for us? I am very interested in a hitch install that doesn't need the bumper cut out. Thanks, Rick.
  22. Thanks for that, I have had the VIN number for some time now. It helped out getting a firm insurance quote. Thanks again, Rick.
  23. Jeeez, I am glad I didn't pay for that option!! As far as the balancing on the Alloy wheels, the weights are mounted on the inner wheel. (Behind the spokes). Rick.
  24. Does anyone know if they can be contacted before the vehicle is picked up from the dealer, or can they be contacted before? Thanks, Rick.
  25. Rob, that really bites.... I don't think the Nav system caused the problems, I also have the fully loaded A/V system, and last week it was already in Louisiana, on it's way to Texas. My delivery date is still May 19th. You might want to look at the history of the vehicle, I was able to see the progress from order to estimated delivery to the dealer right down to the time of day. Another option would be to talk to Chrysler Canada and see if there is anything they can tell you. I understand that they are really giving the Journey a thorough once over so that they don't get a bad reputation, and maybe there was a problem with your order??? Either way, you must be frusterated....Hang in there buddy.... Rick.
