  1. My wife took one out of the Chill Zone last week, and the top of the can had bulged to the limit. It looked like one of the old JiffyPop containers. I guess we dodged a bullet there. We had five consecutive days over 100 later that week....
  2. Our Journey has the same issue, as does a friend's. He is a parts guy for a Dodge dealership and he told me that there were similar complaints over the last few years with the Chrysler and Dodge minivans. He said the power steering hose would get in a bind and cut fluid to the pump. I have noticed, and will have checked, a pulsation through the steering wheel when turning the steering wheel from lock to lock, particularly on a loose surface like gravel or soil. Makes me wonder if they are related.
  3. We weren't in the market for a new vehicle until we saw the Journey. We have an Escape that we kept and it is still a fine vehicle. My wife had been slightly interested in a seven passenger crossover or SUV, but not enough to buy one. We were intrigued by the Journey upon the glowing recommendation of a friend. We test drove one and that was that! It is the smoothest and quietest vehicle I have ever owned. The standard features are remarkable for the price point. The lifetime powertrain warranty put my mind at ease about reliability concerns. I have read all the reviews and wonder which car they drove.

  5. Just last night, our MYGig started continuously "Acquiring Signal" while in SAT mode and we got no sound even though the screen showed everything was working. Got that reflashed this afternoon, so we'll see....
  6. I should have included that. I believe it was 19.1, but that was an average. I'm sure it went way down once we got into the heart of the mountains. Very steep and curvy roads so you are constantly climbing and accelerating out of turns. BTW, the AutoStick is SWEET in that situation!
  7. That is very true and I would not have bought that package had I had the choice. I was ticked that it didn't come with chrome handles. You can get the chrome handles from the R/T, but it will be about $300. I'm waiting for a vendor to come out with chrome handle overlays.
  8. I aqctually had no intention of purchasing it either. Nor the sunroof or Chrome Appearance Package. Only car in a 500 mile radius that had the others in combo.
  9. We bought our Journey on April 24 and love it. We got a red SXT with Convenience Group 1, Premium Convenience Group, Flexible Seating Group, Safe and Sound, Chrome Appearance Package, Sunroof, and Infinity Speakers/Amp. I have never had a vehicle this loaded. It is as quiet as any vehicle I have ever ridden in or driven and is extremely comfortable. The MYGig is too cool for words. All this for $28,100 out the door. Not too shabby.
  10. I got my Journey SXT on April 24 and drove it to the mountains of VA. On the way home with fewer than 400 miles on it, I averaged 24.7 MPG for the 225 mile trip. Not to shabby for a new, tight 3.5 V6.
