  1. Rob, sounds like a slammin' ride!!! Do you have any plans for the Journey? There is a black one in town, it looks sharp.....when it's clean!! It has the stick on window vents on all four side windows, but I don't think it looks good. IMO, it takes away from the lines of the vehicle. RP
  2. The Dodge.com website has a feature to check recalls by VIN number in Canada/US in the "For Owners" section. The same area where you can get the owners manual, and the towing capacities. The recommended service schedule isn't available yet, although it is in the manual. RP
  3. The Dodge.com has 3 commercials on their website to view. I still haven't seen them on TV yet, although being on a Canadian satellite subscription, they usually don't broadcast US commercials. RP
  4. I am not sure if everyone knows yet, but the Dodge.com website now has the Journey owners manual available for download. 523 pages of anticipation!!!!! RP
  5. Hi all, does anyone know what a realistic delivery time would be for Ontario?? I know that there are 2 trains that will bring it into Scarborough, ON...(I used to live right near the rail yard) Then it goes by truck to the dealership. I think that the vehicles will wait at the yard until there is enough orders to fill the truck for a certain area. I was waiting for our dealer to get a Journey in with the steel metallic colour to see it, but it was delayed from the yard for over a week!! Thanks, RP
  6. Hey Rob, just looking at the previous posts, and noticed that you also have an '01 F-150!! Isn't that funny, I also have an'01 F-150 XL Triton Super Cab. 124K on it, but being a 2WD is the reason I am buying this for my wife. She doesn't like driving it in the winter. The '98 Windstar will soon be retired. I will stop into the dealership today when I am in town and get the VIN. RP
  7. Hey everyone, I just talked to my salesman, and he has an estimated ship date of April 24th. kconners, maybe ours will be travelling together throurh the Ottawa Valley!! Keep me posted if you get an updated delivery date. Rick.

  9. Hey all, I just got an email from my dealer, and although he didn't have a delivery date, he did confirm that: "No delivery date yet,but the system tells me we have a good order. There are no restrictions listed on this vehicle.I will keep you posted though." I had inquired with him as I had ordered the MyGig with nav system and wanted to know if there were any delays. I will keep everyone posted. RP
  10. I also spoke with the dealer about the trailer hitch and wiring. The dealership does list the receiver in their computer, but it looks awful as they need to cut some of the bumper out. It is also shown in the accessories brochure. The receiver comes with a round 7 pin connector, but the prep kit only has a 4 pin. Yes the dealer is required to install the wiring harness, although when we looked at it at the dealership there was alot of head scratching going on. The harness has a few relays in it as well, and I do know that the stability program on the vehicle will auto correct if the trailer starts to sway. As I mentioned in the previous post, even if you don't need the trailer tow package, it is worth getting the option to have the extra oil cooler installed. Rick.
  11. Pembroke, Ontario here. Just ordered fully loaded SXT in silver steel metallic.
  12. Keith, you are right on the money, I did a build and price on the Dodge site, and sure enough, if you do not select the flexible seating package, the ATC HVAC is offered. Now it all makes sense. Thanks for all your help, and I will let everyone else know if anything else comes up. BTW, I spoke with my dealer today, and the order is confirmed, but no delivery date yet. Rick.
  13. I stopped in to see the SXT on the lot today to confirm the options on the window sticker. It has the Premium convenience group, Flexible seating group, Convenience group 1, But it doesn't have Entertainment Group #2, Rear seat video group 1, or Safe and Sound group. It does NOT have the ATC hvac controls. However, on the Canadian Dodge site, when you select the "Premium Convenience Group" and click on the info box, then in the lower half of the dialogue box, click on "Automatic air conditioning" and it explains about an "completely integrated electronic system" Interesting to see how this vehicle arrives. BTW HBT, you mentioned a problem with your order? It might be helpful to all if we were to share delays or other problems.
  14. My dealer said that the ATC only came with the R/T, but when I looked on the Dodge site, it did mention it as an option. He has an AWD SXT on the lot, and he thought it would come in with the ATC, but it didn't. I mentioned that it only came with the flexible seating group and the premium convenience group.
  15. Thanks for the info, I will post any info I get in the next few weeks.
  16. The colour they are calling it is "Silver Steel Meatllic". I had to wait a wek before the dealer got one in to look at seeing as they don't have any brochures yet. It looks real nice, and seems to change colour when the sun hits it. I will post a pic of it soon, I took it with my phone, so the quality wasn't good, and it was snowing!!
  17. Hey everyone, I just ordered a Metallic Steel SXT AWD fully loaded. I am not too sure exactly what the interior options will have as there is no brochure for this vehicle yet. I did pick up an accessory brochure yesterday, but they show the MyGig option 2 different ways. Also the dealer couldn't confirm if the HVAC controls were the automatic control, or the manual control. I ordered the trailer tow prep, but am not sure if I will install the receiver as it looks terrible in the brochure. They will need to cut into the rear bumper. The advantage of the $240 option is the engine oil cooler. I priced a replacement key for the vehicle, and surprisingly it is only $150, and you can program it yourself if you have the original 2 keys that came with the vehicle. I will be going back to the dealer this week with a list of parts (starter, alternator, brakes, etc...) to get pricing on them as well. As far as insurance, I will be replacing a 2001 F150 2WD SuperCab, and the rates are only $235 more a year, and I actually increased the coverage to have rental car coverage (Including pleasure rentals) and extended full value replacement value.
