Speaking of spelling..... nice to see someone who spells their last name like mine. Pretty rare to see the extra "e".

I was looking at buying a Ram before I bought my Journey. I did some research on exhaust for the Ram. I really liked the Mufflex system. Youtube has a few videos with Rams with Mufflex mufflers. I'm hoping they come out with mufflers for the Journey.

Chris, My starter would make a funny noise when starting every once in a while and light would come on for a couple days. Dealer said it didn't leave a code. Had RRT 11-069 applied for long crank time. Hasn't happened since. Hope it isn't something too serious.

The amp is located under the passenger seat with the Alpine system on the 2011's. Not sure about the other systems or years. The non-Alpine systems may not have an external amp.

Anybody know when the heated mirrors come on? Just wondering if they came on with rear defrost, front defrost, or certain outside temp.. I didn't see anything in the manual.

Did you have to order thru your local dealer? I hit a raccoon on Thanksgiving Day. Put a big crease in the hard plastic extension, as well as tore up the lower panel underneath. Dodge.com said they couldn't give me a part number. If you Google that part number (5178283AC) you get some Russian site with that part.

If you have the Alpine system, the 6" sub is in the back driver's side. The amp is under the front passenger seat.

RRT 11-078 is for a languge issue in your EVIC. Or the MPH staying on after shut off. RRT 11-082 is for the battery drain issue some are having

My traction control light came on one time. Pushed the button, wouldn't go off. You could mash on the excelerator but wouldn't downshift. Felt like it was barely pulling itself. I pulled off the side of the road, shut it off and re-started. Everything was normal after that.

She must have been close to us. We are north of Lafayette about 30 miles. Just far enough to not get the lake affect snows they get north of us.

We have a Ford F-450 work truck with the powerchoke deisel in it. They have some kind of system that heats the whole fuel system up so they don't have to be plugged in anymore. I guess I've never heard of mandatory heaters. I think I will brave the cold we get here, not quite that brutal in Indiana.

Seems to be more Canadian Journey owners on here than the U.S.. Took mine to Chicago area this weekend. About two and a half hour drive. Counted 6 Journeys total from Aurora, Illinois to back home in Indiana. Was kinda fun keeping up with a Mustang on 294!

In the states you can put in a favorite NFL team. If that team is playing, there is a pop-up that alerts you to when that team is playing. Much like a favorite artist that is playing. The pop-up says "game on the air". You can touch that to take you to the station the game is on. Even if you are on an FM station, the pop-up comes on. This is on the 8.4, not sure on the 4.3,s.

Had the oil changed Thursday of last week. I was charged for 6 quarts at $3.00 a quart.

Dre Mine would keep cranking every once in a while, then check engine light would come on for a couple days.There is a fix for that. RRT 11-069 Had mine done last friday.

Just wondering if anyone has installed aftermarket splash guards and how they fit. The posts on Mopar guards talked about having to modify either the splash guards or fender wells to get them to fit.

My compass gets out of sync about every 6 weeks or so. I have to recalibrate, then it seems to be ok for a while. I did find if I have the variance set at +8, it seems to stay calibrated longer. Anyone else have problems with this? Is there a TSB or anything on this?

My mats haven't moved at all in 8 months. I haven't modified them with a carpet knife either. I don't see the difference between aftermarket mats gripping the original carpet versus gripping the factory mats. Personally I think the holes made with a carpet knife would tend to rip out if your mats are going to move around. I guess it is just personal preferance.

Why not put the mats in on top of the factory mats? I have a set of Fanmats in mine on top of the factory mats. They fit perfect, have no bumps where the hooks are, and they are deep enough to hold the slush until they can be vacuumed out. $26.00 at Meijer. Still need to order a set for the rear to match the front, about $12.00 each.

I bought my 2011 brilliant black crew in February of this year. It is loaded with just about every option but AWD. List price was about $32,700. The manager showed me the invoice on what he paid. I paid $2,000 over invoice, so I bought it for around $28,000. Add tax,document fees,$600 paint sealer,gap insurance. Subtract cash and rebates...ended up financing about $29,500. Was wondering about RRT 11-069. My starter overcranks every once in a while causing the check engine light to come on and stay on a couple days. Is this a fix for that? The computer doesn't leave a code when this happens.
