  1. I drove "droney" piped cars for 20 years, and toward the end it drove me nuts. But I've been in a couple friend's SUVs that only are loud when they get on it. I like that. would be nice if Borla made a system for the Journey.
  2. I was prepared to do this until you stated "it is loud in the interior" and that it drones at lower cruising speeds. I think I'd prefer something more mellow. So thanks, you just saved me $350, haha.
  3. It sounds pretty good. Probably better in person than the vid. I will probably do it.
  4. that is a nice mellow sound. Seems like in person it might be similar to the way the new 305 hp V6 Mustang sounds stock. Am I correct?
  5. where the heck is that guy? he's killin me hahahaha
  6. I'm seriously thinking of doing the Megan Racing mufflers that somone else posted on this forum. Waiting for him to post a video so I can hear it.
  7. I traded a Mazda 5 for my '11 DJ. The Mazda should have gotten better gas mileage than it did. The Journey isn't great on gas, but for the size and power, it's ok. They look nice in white.
  8. come on, come on, come on.... waiting. I am probably gonna do this.
  9. I wanna hear this bad. Come on, post up a video. Pleeeeaaaaseeee.....
  10. I'm probably going to use that new "ok'd" tire size when I need replacements. At 25k now on the original Kumhos and they're still good.
  11. my '11 DJ does the same thing. Pretty annoying. After a few applications of the brake it diminishes, or goes away completely. The brakes must get filled up with debri, and grind around in there.
  12. That hitch mount setup is very impressive. I settled on the Saris Bones 3 after doing some research. It's a genius design, and I like that I can use it on my Miata too. So far so good:
  13. Hi, I'm thinking about getting a hatch strap-style bicycle rack for my 2011 Journey. The bicycle shop employee said that two of three manufacturers he researched did not recommend this type of rack for the Journey. The information was vague, but the employee said it's usually because the way the rack contacts the hatch, it can dent the metal. So I'm curious if anyone is using one, and what brand is it? thanks in advance. P.S. I've considered getting a trailer hitch, but that will be a last resort. I do not like the look of trailer hitches.
  14. The Tire Rack Q&A also lists a slightly larger 235 size as within 3% of Journey's OEM tire, thus approved. They have one brand in that size for $175 each. fyi.
  15. yes, they should replace the rotors for free under warranty as many times as they need it within the warranty time period. As stated, I'm about to get my second set replaced under warranty (waiting for them to come in).
  16. new rotors on order as of yesterday. They will be replaced under warranty. Second set as stated above.
  17. my front rotors warped at 10k, and then again at 14k, but the dealer didn't replace them at 14k, they said they didn't think they needed it. In retrospect, they just didn't drive it fast enough. I should have told them the wheel shook the most above 50 mph. So now at 17k they are getting really bad, and I'm hoping for my second set of warrantied rotors. so frustrating. My previous car, a Mazda 5 had the same problem. It ate rotors. Seems rotors these days are crap.
  18. I've noticed that it goes down after sitting unused for a few days too. I drove my Miata for 4 days, then got in the Journey and the mirror was out of adjustment. I know it was perfect when I parked it.
  19. yup, about every two days mine is drooping down a bit.
  20. my 2011 AWD Crew brakes warp quite easily. 15,000 miles and I'm due for another set of rotors.
  21. Not sure what you mean by a fender stripe, but I did a stripe along the bottom of the doors from the front fog light to rear bumper. There is a post for it.
  22. I had my rotors replaced (slight shimmy in steering wheel) at 10,000 miles, and now it's back again at 14,000 miles. They are delicate. And like someone said above, I'm not an aggressive driver (at all). I don't follow people close, and I don't do last minute braking. I am thinking of putting aftermarket rotors on the front. Cross-drilled and vented perhaps. maybe that will help.
