Congratulations on your new ride. I can't speak for the others on the forum, but I appreciated your input to the forum. I wish you all the best and will miss you. Drop in and vist like Bigtsr, You guys have so much common sense and experience to contribute. This is one of the best forums because of you and others.

I did something last week that I have never done before.  I have always bought cars from Dealer Inventory.  I have never ordered a car in my life.  For those who may remember, I purchased my DJ off of the lot, solely for the color:  Copperhead Pearl.
 

 
2 years ago, I was shopping for a Cherokee Trailhawk, but I was taken back by the color of the DJ, and purchased it instead.  The thought of a Cherokee Trailhawk has haunted me for two years.  So, I went online and built one in Mango Tango, and was prequalified to purchase by Chrysler Capital.  My Salesman from my Dealer called me last Saturday.  He could see what I had built, and made an appointment for me to come in Monday.  He found 2.  One was very close to my build; the other not so much.  The one that was close had two things that I didn't check off:  Technology Group, Black Wheels, and 2 things were missing:  Remote CD player (The new 8.4s do not come with a CD Player) and the Cargo Cover.  The CD player would be located in the Console and I can always purchase a Cargo Cover.  The Salesman tried to order my build from the factory, but Mango Tango is no longer a paint option.  He made me a deal that I could not refuse and I got 0% financing to boot.  Here she is:


Radio uses Apple Apps and Siri, so I have a lot to learn.  It has been a good two year ride here, but I am off to the Jeep Cherokee Forum.

In the EVIC, choose fuel economy.  The graph in mine is horizontal; not vertical.  There are a series of numbers across the top of the graph.  A small pointer will sit where the average mpg is at the present time.  The graph starts out yellow, and as you approach the pointer, it begins to turn green.  It also displays the instantaneous mpg at any given time.

I just received by the mail a recall for my Dodge journey RT 2016 about a defective transaxle oil pump. How dangerous is that? Thanks.

depends on how many pumps the supplier has to produce I would think
Also would probably require partial disassembly as it is a pump 

check with your service manger at your dealership to ask and answer your concerns they know best..

Get on the list when the parts are in get it fixed no brainer 

As the recall states: "could cause a crash without warning". Sounds pretty dangerous to me.

OK, so after a long talk with technicians they tested 3 other journeys in their dark underground garage and they were like mines, except they took about 5 to 6 seconds to adjust. Theyll reset a code i dont even know which one for the camera and theyll make sure its all ok. The blue screen is normal during night, especially if the car was in the sun earlier in the day.

While I know we are talking 2 different FCA products my 2016 RA4 has software in place
so I can select either static or dynamic guidelines plus the time delay for camera turning off
after shift from reverse.

At night, mine has a redish tint, but it has a clear picture.  I think it is a reflection of the color of the car:  Copperhead Pearl.

No snarkiness intended, but it's that way because it's defective . . . . . and to answer the second question; no, there is no way to have dynamic guide lines - I have vehicles that do it both ways and personally don't miss the 'feature' at al on the Journey

And while you are at the dealer you might want to ask that he make a product suggestion, which is that the camera should not switch off immediately on shifting out of reverse - I think it should stay on until the vehicle is shifted back to drive or into Park - or there might be a timer, a parameter that could be adjusted in the settings screen.

I have ad blocker on my computer.  I think it is hilarious that some sites will not let me on until I turn it off.  Are they nuts?  I'm not shopping; just trying to read an article.  Ad blocker does speed things up and tells me every time an ad is/are blocked and how many!
