Can you tow a 2012 Journey AWD 4 wheels down behind an RV?

Craig,

Here is the official word from Dodge on the subject.

All-Wheel Drive (AWD)

The manufacturer requires towing with all four wheels

OFF the ground. Acceptable methods are to tow the

vehicle on a flatbed, or with one end of vehicle raised and

the opposite end on a towing dolly.

CAUTION!

Failure to follow these towing methods could result

in damage to the transmission and/or transfer case.

Such damage is not covered by the New Vehicle

Limited Warranty.

This will hold true for just about any FWD vehicle:

Why would you ever want to tow with the drive wheels on the ground (unless you're pulling it out of a ditch)?  Only bad things can happen, even if you do everything right.  Get the drive wheels off the ground - if they aren't moving under their own power, they shouldn't be moving.

For the Journey specifically, it's permissible under certain circumstances (not, far, and definitely not fast).  Read the owner's manual.  And get your Journey on a flatbed if you need it towed - it's inherently less dangerous to the vehicle.

Try n to find out if u can flat tow a 2015 dodge journey front wheel drive...

It is not permissible beyond 15 miles and 25 MPH maximum speed.  Flat towing the vehicle will overheat the transmission fluid and burn up the transmission's clutches beyond these criteria.  A FWD Journey may be towed short distances with a dolly to lift the front wheels. AWD Journeys must be flat-bedded or trailered with all wheels off the ground.
