no not no bs if youd like i can upload pis to show facts not saying all inch rims are the same if u read my post correctly which im assuming you just did a quick glance at it but i did speify that the way it would work is depending on the rims sidewall the one i used had a thick sidewall that when i tried to accelerate i wasnt abl to cuz the rim hit the calliper making it impossible to move if i used a rim with a thinner sidewall yeah youd be correct and id be able to keep calliper on meantime but i didnt have that choice as im sure you did but again if youd like i can post photos or a video showing my proff just saying not all rims are made the same

No idea what your talking about rick2292 how can tires cause the rim to hit the caliper? If they are off a 13 or newer Caravan or Journey they will fit without hitting  I had 19's and put 17's on from a 16 Caravan and they fit fine.

They upgraded the brakes in 13 to a larger caliper older wheels won't fit 09-12 for example

If the tires were to big you wouldn't be able to put the rim on the hub unless you used spacers

You don't need to post a pic cause I don't really care mine fit no problem enjoy your Journey

He said tires, probably meant rims hitting. This is good info for the site.

Just came across this same issue for the first time,  older 17" dodge rims not fitting over the bigger duel piston 2014 Journey calipers. Rims were off a Caravan, wrecker labeled them (probably incorrectly 2015) and rubbed just enough to not spin. Spacers would move rim off bearing hub center ring, put load just on wheel studs...not a good idea IMO.

So I assume all Journey rims are only downwards compatible. All 17, 19 inch rims from 2013-2020 will fit on all years of journey 2009-2020. But 16,17 and 19 from 2009-2012 will never fit on 2013-2020 newer years. I never knew that. Or saw it clearly stated on any tire/rim threads. Is this correct ?
