Elliott Peeler
Hello All, 2016 Journey Crossroads I'm hoping this is a known issue although searching didn't reveal anything definitive. Noticed today when I step on the brake pedal, the interior lights come on dimly while the pedal is depressed then go off when released. Turn headlight switch to the parking lights position and the interior lights come on full. Has anyone seen this issue and found a resolution? I appreciate any input. Thank you! John/Horace
Most likely a grounding issue. Clean inspect repair main body and dash grounds. Lots of posts on site with pics etc.
2late4u
could be a wire in the hatchback rubber boot in the upper left hand side since they are known to fray and or break from all the flexing they do,, very easy to check just open the hatch and gently slide the rubber boot from the metal hoping and hopefully you might see a bad wire ,,,just a thought along with the ground spots as well

Elliott Peeler
Just to follow-up in case anyone comes across this topic. The issue was a small gage (22 maybe) black wire with a blue stipe in the back hatch harness. It was just crimped and broken, not actually shorted to anything. Splice and some heat shrink got it fixed right up. Thank you everyone for the guidance!
