DrewBear67 Posted September 27, 2022 Report Share Posted September 27, 2022 Alternator light came on, replaced alternator but it still came on and lost power. Replaced the battery, light still came on. Had it tested at O'Reillys and it said alternator was bad, so replaced it again. Light still coming on and battery draining. What to do next? 2late4u Posted September 27, 2022 Report Share Posted September 27, 2022 have your journey rechecked again at orileys for the alt charging properly and also load check the battery again,have to check the obvious first,always a possibility the second alt is bad as well,,,also what engine do you have? After looking into it, found that it was just the fusible link wire. But when I changed my alternator, it left me stranded because the issue was my battery. So I changed my alternator back and replaced the battery.
