2009 dodge journey 3.5 Awd transfer case leaking

Im dealing with the exact same issue. The leaking is caused by the bad bearing. Take off the cover and you should be able to change the bearing. Once the bearing is replaced put it all back together with a new seal and top of the box it should be good to go.   Doing this job your self will save you money if you have the know how. Cost of the parts will differ. The bearing and the seal cost me $55.00 and my labor to do the job.   But be warned those 5 bolts holding the cover in can be a pain to get out with out braking them. I broke 2 bolts off on mine. Not fun.
