  1. Hid bulbs are designed specifically for hid bowls.  Doesn't matter if the halogen projector hides glare well or not.....if you look at a  vehicle with halogen projectors and hid projectors you'll see a noticeable difference in he size of the bowl to reduce a fire from burning the bowl......makes sense right...either. Buy hid projectors or risk a fire by putting a bulb that hot in such a small space

  2. Well it's been awhile since I've posted anything due to the fact that I almost died at work.  Ended up cutting my wrist open. Next To my main artery hit a few tendons and a bunch of nerves.  This was due to porcelain tile falling off a wall.  Anywho. I've updated my projectors. With new switchback shrouds that I painted to match my journey and added some underglow.   Feedback is much appreciated!!! For those that do not know what switchback means. This means when I use my turn signal they turn Amber and flash with my turn signal and go back to white when the signal is off

I've read articles very similar to that numerous times... as long as you have the HIDs adjusted to aim at the ground and not straight forward into the eyes of other drivers there really isnt an issue... And if it was more, more car wouldnt be coming stock with HID option. Plus only older cars come with reflector housings anymore... majority of cars are running projector housings so it helps to keep the light aimed down if you dont have your high beams on... I understand the issue and most people would agree that when someone slaps 4300k or 6000k HIDs in a reflector housing on their 04 chevy suburban you WILL get blinded as they go by... BUT for people with the stock projector housing running 4300K, as long as you put them in and adjust to make sure the angle was not thrown off you will be just fine. I have 6000k in my dart and no one ever flashes their high beams at me to signal that my high beams may be on... But thats also cause i took the time to make sure the headlights were angled the correct way.

Lastly, I dont care what that article says... if you see the difference between the stock yellow incandescent lamp and the 4300k HID bulbs at night the visibility is 100% better. The fact that yellow light is better for your eye has zero to do with visibility at night and for people who wear corrective lenses (like my fiancee), my personal opinion is that its would help her to see easier and read signs from further away and be LESS of a hazard on the road. She comments constantly when we are in my dart at night that its so much easier to see everything with my headlights vs. her 07 altima with the yellow incandescent lights... and now her 2016 Dodge Journey... My opinion, is if you have an older car with reflective housings... DO NOT PUT HID BULBS IN THEIR, YOU WILL BLIND PEOPLE!!!! but for people with newer cars... Have at it!

Your kidding right?  Educate yourself buddy. There's a difference between a halogen projector and hid lol. You sound stupid when you say just aim them down.  So reduce distance for what? If you have to aim your projectors after installing hid into your halogen projectors well that's an issue lol.  No matter what you say your wrong.  Don't listen to this guy.  Do not put hid bulbs into a halogen projector.  Don't be surprised after a while of using them if you notice it getting dim.  Bet you a thousand dollars your going to melt the Chrome plating of your bowls. You can say oh I haven't had an issue.  Not yet anyways I've come across this with customers. People like you who ignore the facts and think it's fine when really it's not!

  4. I installed a set of 1.5inch wheel spacers not that long ago. Of course you would want the hub centric.  These fit over the hub and lug bolts directly and it's a nice firm hold. No play . Only issue I had was where the battery is I had to push in the battery holder and heat up the fender liner and push it in so the tire didn't rub .  You can see it's not a huge difference but handling has improved noticeably.  Bought these spacers at pro wheel adapters.  Ask for Chris . Only thing is my Oem lug nuts did not have the same thread as the new ones on the spacers. Used the Oem to hold the spacers and the new nuts supplied with the spacers for my wheels.

  5. Hope to have them by the weekend.  i will most definitely take pictures.  Not sure if you want install pics or not?   I'll take one showing the hub centric for others if interested.  On the 6 the were in sanbernadino and I'm in northern ontario. So who knows when lol

  6. Thanks for the tip.  To be honest I'm nervous a little bit but I'm willing to try them out.   And the stripes I got bored of them being red so I just dipped them with black and added the pin stripe on the sides. Eventually just peel it off and go back to red lol.  also I want to colour match the rims to my journey. Already got lots of rocks chips and they are pitted like crazy. Atleast the grey would hide it a little better

  7. well guys, since i decided to keep my 19 inch blacktop rims instead of buying new rims with an offset to give me the wide stance i decided to go with a set of 1.5 inch wheel spacers, they should be in next week, they are hub centric, my wheels shouldnt stick out to far but just enough to see some treads, probably wont notice much for handling wise  although knowing itll help with going around corners a little better i got them mostly just for the look and when i buy new tires i wont have the issue of the 255 tire being so close to that plate where the spring is, not sure whats its called but its been mentioned buy a few guys on here of how close it is to that thingy haha   i bought them off truebilletwheeladapters.com   after converting it to canadian it was around 300 inclunding shipping  i talked with them over facebook and they didnt know im from canada and they said i was getting free shipping  but when i called to order they dont free ship to canada so buddy asked if i wanted to split the shipping cost with him  i figured why not it was a nice gesture    any ways haters gunna hate but i think its gunna look dope, i asked about wheel bearings and if i should expect issues from having these on and he said there should be no issues further down the road   ill be sure to post pictures once installed!

  8. This new format is difficult on mobile anyways. On my blacktop I'd like to have the nav available and same with my backup camera I wil be installing.  Do I need a new unit or will these codes enable them after I bring it to the dealer to flash it for me.  How does this work lol. I apologize but not sure what else could be added by codes that my blacktop wouldn't have already??!!
