I completely understand but gave up. We have had a wetter than normal summer here. (rain at least once a day) I have given up. I have washed it maybe 3 times since we got it in June. And with it being wet you drag who knows what all in on your feet Arrrrg! Ahh just wait till winter.

Ahh, I still have to defend my 4. I too have driven the Pentastar although it is peppy. It boils down to what you need. I tend to abuse the gas mileage when I have a motor that over preforms...(Lead foot)

We got our '13 SXT in June and the only time I have had a brake problem was after it sat for a week at the beach and it rained at least once a day and was covered with sea spray. The brakes were chattery for the first couple of hundred miles or so. While it was sitting mid week i noticed a good glaze of rust coating the rotors.

Its working now. What a great picture. The blue really stands out.

Wow very good job! I cringe at the mention of any crash now. I went through Heck getting another drivers insurance to pay full after he was charged and found guilty in court. The insurance co (LM) still to this day says it was partly my fault. It was in the old G Cherokee, but come on now. My insurance company backed me 100%. Next time not going to deal with it if its some one elses fault, just going to turn it over to the lawyer.. But they did a dang good job on yours!

I have a 4 cylinder 2013 SXT and do not have a noise in of any kind in mine. It does not sound like it should be a normal noise. I have to agree with Journeyman. Across the board there should not be ANY noises if things are right.

Yea the brakes on the 13's have been totally redone. Probably would not have bought if that had not been the case, Have gone through the brake mess with the 00 Grand Cherokee. Something was probably bad when you bought it. Would just bite the bullet here and just do the brake upgrade. Its tough to get warranty to cover wear and tear parts.

Not to bring up an old issue But noticed the other day that my 2013 was doing the same thing. Didnt worry about it figured that was what was causing it.

Well just got back from our first beach trip with the SXT with the 2.4 and have to say I was really surprised at the performance of the engine. Although the 4 speed tranny is some what picky. This can be over ridden with the manual side. Mileage was so so about 24 mpg if I could keep my foot out of it. Plenty of room in the back for a weeks worth of luggage plus beach chairs. easier to pack than the old Grand Cherokee it replaced. Handled well in the many storms we drove through. Every one had their own AC controls which kept everyone comfy. She did well for a four banger. And so glad we got the 8.4 Uconnect.

You need to go to the top of the food chain then. You need to be assertive here. Be nice, but you have to know what your rights are here and let them know. If its past that keep following up with Customer Care.

Call Customer care. You are making a lot of noise but not doing much about it. You should have found out what the warranty was going to cover BEFORE they start turning wrenches. And there is always a second opinion.

That or some one suckered him into buying an old storm flooded wreck. Which by the looks at his posting thats what I would guess.

HAHA Gas rated 36-38 mph and only getting 23-26? What are you smoking? I assume hes talking maybe mileage, but still dont know where is came up with that alleged info. Ahhh well cant please every one. I wonder what he would say about a free lunch?

We went with the 4 in our SXT. I was leaning toward the 6, but the wife who was going to be the daily driver from the s side of Atlanta to the n side every day wanted to go with the 4. She's always getting on me for running it up while getting on the interstate. We had a 6 loaner while we were getting the new seats put in and to me honest while it had more pep, there wasn't much difference while cruising. We have the third row in ours and haven't had it fully loaded yet so I'm really curious about how it does in "bus" mode. We are going to be taking it to PCB next week and its going to be interesting to see how it does. Wife says she is getting decent mileage with it so far. We didn't buy from the dealer closest to us either. Love the one you picked out and welcome to the family!

We had the Katzkins put in ours too. Much nicer than the factory covers. Sandstone with the black and tan interior. Done for the same price.

I use Lucas here on every thing I drive and never had any issues. Both have over 150000 mi on the clock.

Who said it would need a new head? Would try all options before that. Check the plugs, the ignition system, fuel. If it does need a new head check to see if this would be covered by a warranty. If you do take it on the trip gas mileage will suffer, engine may lag and run rough but I have seen worse things on the road.

Is this an issue that has been fixed on older models? Or is this something that every one has to look out for?

I havent seen alignment listed in annual maintenance for years. Most FWD vehicles when needed, need a four wheel alignment which can be expensive. The only time alignment is needed is when you see evidence, such as tire wear pulling, crashes, or worn parts. I have a 05 Pontiac GTP with over 150000 mi on the clock and have never had it on the rack for alignment. So unless you are having problems money saved.

Ok. Wife has it in her head that she wants to put door edge guards on the Pearl Black '13 DJ. Im not sure how that will look. Has any one gone that route? I have seen some that look pretty crummy and the last thing I want is her saying that it looks bad after its done.

Black Crystal Pearl 2013 SXT. Had the tan cloth dealer gave us the option to put leather in. So now interior a nice black and tan. Looks good!

That's what I finally figured out. Ill tell you I wont complain about cargo room with 3rd row folded down. More that any one else was offering.
