  1. A TSB is a Technical Service Bulletin. A message that the manufacturer sends to the shops when they know there is a problem but doesn't want to go as far as a recall. Some times it will tell them how to fix the issue. Most times you have to ask if there is one for the problem or look them up on line.
  2. This is what you need. this one is for a journey and has the SD slot. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-2012-2011-DODGE-JOURNEY-FACTORY-OEM-NAVIGATION-RB5-8-4N-GPS-RADIO-SYSTEM-/130977038981

  5. I have a 2013 Journey SXT 2.4 and noticed again after taking a long trip this weekend that I still have what feels like a stumble or miscue in the transmission. It feels like its not in gear then drops into gear when you hit the gas to pull away from a dead stop. either that or an engine misfire. its only happened 3 or 4 times in 6000 miles, but doesn't seem normal. Its very hard and sudden and embarrassing when you have been talking the journey up and this happens. Any ideas?
  6. Welcome and feel free to jump in, any time!
  7. I tried to do an extensive search for a grille and came up empty. Even tried the Fiat site and got nothing. The only thing I can think of is seeing if a local Dodge shop can cross reference a part.
  8. Very nice, welcome to the club!
  9. Come on Red lighten up a tick. Every one has the right to protect your self. Even though I dont carry mine everywhere I go. A gun locked away in a lock box at home doesnt do much good. It is a tool and when used correctly will serve its purpose. Mkatona make sure to check local laws about carry in vehicles. I have seen modified holsters mounted under the steering column. but on the hip is the best place.
  10. Battery fully charged? Does it turn over and not start or not at all?
  11. If its a AWD you will have to trailer it, FWD front wheels on a dolly and rear wheels on the ground should work. The Manual is really not clear, you are right, but does say: " If the transmission is not operable, or the vehicle must be towed faster than 25 mph (40 km/h) or farther than 15 miles (24 km), it must be towed with the front wheels OFF the ground (using a flatbed truck, towing dolly, or wheel lift equipment with the front wheels raised)." But then says before that: RECREATIONAL TOWING (BEHIND MOTORHOME, ETC.) Recreational towing is not allowed. DO NOT flat tow this vehicle. Damage to the drivetrain will result. NOTE: This vehicle may be towed on a flatbed or vehicle trailer provided all four wheels are OFF the ground. Towing faster than 25 mph (40 km/h) or farther than 15 mi (24 km) with front wheels on the ground can cause severe transmission damage. Such damage is not covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty I just think they are just in a CYA mode, in case some one does something really stupid and burns out a tranny or causes a crash. All they can say... We told them not to tow it!
  12. There is no easy way to install any aftermarket system into this system. Its so intertwined and integrated that it makes it impossible to do with out effecting the operation of other systems.

    Power Lock Issue

    I would have to agree.
  14. A few questions that I have are, did the police issue a citation for her crash? And what was the cause of the crash on the report? It is and has been my rule of thumb to not speak to the other parties other than are you ok and I'm calling 911 for help. Exchanging insurance information makes you involved. If your vehicle wasn't struck and law enforcement does not see you as being a factor in the crash then no need for the other party to know who you were other than a witness to their bad driving. You will more than likely have to go for a deposition, as will the officer and any other witnesses. As far as not being mentioned in the report it should be because you are not involved, not because there was no damage. That is another question. And depending how far she wants to push this you may want to talk to a lawyer about this. In most cases insurance companies are good at weeding out the bad cases. When the first thing out of her mouth was about insurance I would have become instantly mute. I have had to talk to a few Insurance Companies about situations like this and as long as you have all of your facts and witnesses you should have nothing to worry about. Good luck and be glad no one in your car was hurt. Keep us posted!
