  1. I took my car to a different dealer and once again they hear the noise but cannot determine exactly where it is coming from, but said it's nothing mechanical that I need to worry about. I love my car but very disappointed with the noises.
  2. No, it's not making a buzzing noise. I want to up date and let everyone know that after having my car for 29 days the dealership called and stated that the area manager drove my car and claims that it's a "typical" noise. Not sure how they can determine that a "spring popping" noise that you feel in the brake pedal is "typical". I am now in the process of finding another dealership for a second opinion.
  3. I just wanted to give an update.......the dealership hears the noise and have tried a few things but has not found the cause of the "spring" noise, so I am still patiently waiting to see if Chrysler will get back to the dealership with any ideas.
  4. I know what you are talking about and that is not the issue that I am having. It only happens when I turn the car off. The dealership stated it was the heater door actuator. My main concern is the spring noise that I can feel in the brake pedal. The dealership heard it but does not know where it's coming from so in turn they do not know how to fix it. They have had my new car for almost a week and by the sounds of it I will not see my car for another week or so.
  5. If anyone is having the spring noise too, please take it to your dealership and complain. If there are enough of us maybe they will work faster to find the problem. The dealership just called and stated that they are still waiting to hear back from Chrysler...not sure what the hold up is.
  6. Yes, the dealership said the "machine gun" sound is the heater actuator door and that it's normal, but according to Chrysler there shouldn't be any noise. My main issue is the spring popping noise that I can feel in the brakes when I first start the car and go about 100 feet, in forward or reverse. Thanks for the info
  7. Have you taken your Dodge to the dealership to be checked? Currently I have mine at the dealership per Chrysler's request so they can figure out what it is. If you hear anything let me know. I will update once I here back from Chrysler
  8. I have a 2013 Dodge Journey SXT 4 cylinder and I was at the dealership today regarding some noises, it sounds like a tapping or small burst of machine gun fire ever time I shut the car off. The dealer said it was a heater door actuator and that it could come and go and pretty much was told that I would have to deal with the noise. The other noise I have occurs every time I start the car and go about no more than 100 feet it sounds like a brake spring popping in the front of the car. The dealer heard it but not sure what it is. I bought the car about 5 weeks ago and only have 2000 miles....any one else have this problem or any suggestions? Thanks
