  1. Yeah, same here. Even though my gauge never goes above 7/8 full...I will get the fuel light with about 40-50 miles remaining. Then fill up 17-18 gallons or so. So the whole tank is being used...it's just a stupid gauge issue.

I've ran for about 30 miles after the fuel light came on to see how far I could push it. I filled up 19.5 gallons after that...so only had 1 gallon to go.

  2. It's easy to do yourself. Just crank the AC on full blast. Then spray Lysol or whatever dissenfectant into the air intake duct for 5-10 seconds on the bottom of the front windshield. I try to do that every few months.

  3. I would have raised hell with them. It is indeed a heat shield from the exhaust. A melted spare tire from the exhaust doesn't really do any good when you need it ;). Go back and make them put that crap back on! There should be a heat shield on both sides of the spare tire (if you have the V6 dual exhaust).

  4. I wouldn't consider the tie rod clunk to be unsafe in any manner. I have a very slight clunk when going over speedbumps. Have had it for probably 50k miles or so. It's so slight that I have to have the windows open to hear it.

I don't want to deal with dealer visits just over a noise. It isn't hurting anything on the vehicle. But, I guess I'm not as picky as other people.

  5. How do you take the OEM map lights out? I have 3 sets of small circular lights on the roof above the 3 rows of seats that depress in and out that I want to change out with blue led lights but haven't found a way to access the original led lights inside the housing.

Last time I checked, I don't think those are replacable bulbs. They are hardwired LED circuits. So you'd have to do a custom job to replace them. I wanted to get some brighter ones for my vehicle, but it looked much too involved...

  6. I bought these tires 1.5 years ago when my 2012 FWD DJ was at 40k miles. Just replaced the Yoko's (they were almost completely bald) with Cooper CS5 tires at 86k miles. So I got 46k miles out of the Yoko's with ~90% highway driving in the desert. I expected more considering the 580 treadwear and 60k mile warranty. I can't do a prorated warranty claim since I rotate my own tires. If you have record of a shop doing rotations then you could make a claim.

Anyways, the tires were excellent performers for the vehicle; world's better than the stock Kuhmo's. The grip was very good in wet or dry (only saw snow once and did just fine). Never felt unsafe. They were insanely quiet tires, never got loud, even down to the very end of life. They provided a very good, comfortable ride. Towards the end the ride got a bit bumpier and not as kooshy, but that's expected. I had them mounted and balanced the first initial time, and never had to get them balanced again. They tracked straight and were never out of balance (even with the crappy California roads/potholes).

I would definitely buy them again, but just consider them more of a 500 treadwear tire. I went with the Cooper CS5's due to the excellent reviews, 620 treadwear rating, and I got a great deal on them from Discount Tire, $530! I would have gotten the Yoko's if they were around that price range.

Excellent tires! Just hope the Cooper's hold up to the same!

  7. Little update..... Dodge has agreed to pay for the Kicker Hideaway along with installation from Best Buy (roughly $450). I'm having it put in on Thursday, then I'll bring Dodge the bill for them to reimburse me. I feel much better about this solution compared to them tearing the whole car apart to retro fit the premium system. Plus, I'm pretty confident I'll like this small hidden Kicker amp and sub better than what they would have installed from the factory. I'll post up a review for the Kicker Hideaway after it's installed. Should be a great option for anyone looking for a well balanced system, oppose to rattling mirrors and pissing off the guy next to you at a stop light with your bass! LOL.

Nice, way to be! Way to stick to your guns; that's great that they'll be covering it. Gauranteed it'll sound much better than the pathetic stock subwoofer in the back.

  8. Figured I'd post these since the question was brought up. Seems kinda night to me nut there are no warning lights or anything. I'm not sure what the oil pressure range is.

    42 psi at idle

    83 psi at 2000 Rpms

I'm very surprised your oil pressure was this high on a warmed up engine. Mine was always in the 30-40's while cruising at highway speed. Yes, it'll be in the 70-80's for the first 10 minutes of driving or so, until it drops in half.
