  1. Maybe I should start a new thread, but I'll ask it here first. As any had their Garmin nav (I have the 8.4N) crash and restart when looking for a location? A few days ago I was driving and used the voice command to search for something, it was taking a while to search so I backed out of the searched and tried it again and still took while, so while searching my wife switched to the radio and back to the nav and tried the category searches, I then jumped in with another voice search and part way through talking back to me the Nav crashed and restarted. Once it came back I stopped and used the spelling input and found the place no problem. I'm thinking I just overloaded the program which caused the reboot (of the Garmin application only) but was curious if anyone else saw this happen before?
  2. Did that Dodge// badge come with your grille? I've only ever seen those included on the R/T models.
  3. I'm playing devils advocate again, but they did make a change to the engine with increased HP up to 283. Now they could argue this is why they increased the brake size. With that in said they did increase to the 3.6 way before they increased the brake size, so anyone with the 3.6L with the smaller brakes might have the better argument. Either way Chryslers argument is weak and I do agree with everyone about the brakes and hope you can get something from Chrysler to compensate. Good luck.

I tried for the seat swap hold out but was told they couldn't do that for the same reason they can't swap all the 4.3 screens for the 8.4 for customers that purchased the nav package earlier in the year before the 8.4 was released. In the end I got a deal on a mopar hitch installed. I got it for approx. $300 (receiver, installation, tax included). I think the retail price on that is around $500-600+tax installed. Good luck.
  5. Not sure if you'll have a case or not, and it might make things harder considering they have started increasing the brake size on the newer models.
  6. I have a set of weathertech window visors but haven't installed them yet. I just wanted to say that I have the kind that stick on the outside on another car and they also increase wind noise as opposed to not having vent visors at all.
  7. I don't have nitrogen in my Journey tires, but do have it in my other two cars. One of which was filled with nitrogen in 2009 and I haven't had to top them up yet, the other was only filled a few months ago when I put new tires on, so far so good.
  8. 900km? Thats great. I doubt my AWD will get that much.
  9. Simple fix, until something more permanent is released from Dodge, is to just accelerate a little quicker. Won't be much of a problem for me once I get through the break in period.
  10. I don't think 16's will fit any more since they increased the brake size. I think the smallest that will fit will be 17's and they will require the correct bolt pattern and offset. I've also read that the 09-10 17's don't fit perfectly and require some minor shaving of the calipers, not sure if 11-12 17's would have any problems. Khumo's are all-seasons, so I never put much faith in all-seasons for winter driving.
  11. I haven't seen a rear plate bracket before, only plate frames/covers. Can you provide a pictures of the rear bracket? Thanks.
  12. No SRT6 Well at least I won't have to trade in my Rallye any time soon :D
  13. I don't think a car dealer selling a new vehicle would grind calipers to fit stock rims. Stock rims are designed to fit without modification, thats why they are stock.
  14. Hitch installation completed today. It took the dealer a little longer than they expected but everything looks good and clean :D I'll post pictures after the next car wax.

  16. I'm currently looking for a set of 17s to be used for winter tires. I'll try to get those darker, but not really picky about how winter rims look.
  17. Those are the carbon wheels, unfortunately its hard to tell the difference until to compare side by side with the silver ones. I thought they would be darker too.
  18. WTH!? I just bought mine. Now I might need to trade it in in a year? Damn.
  19. more->settings->lights It should be listed in there. I forget the exact wording, but look for something with wipers and lights. I also unchecked that option as I didn't like everything dimming when I turned on my wipers. Good luck.
  20. Assuming no body damage has been done to the vehicle, I would think it might just be the rubber around the sunroof might need replacement and/or a realignment. These are just educated guesses as I am not a mechanic and do not work for Dodge or any other dealer. Good luck.
  21. The Journey DOES know its day or night, otherwise the automatic headlight feature wouldn't work My dislike was that I didn't like the feature that turned on the headlights when the wipers were engaged because it caused everything to dim, which makes the nav/stereo screen harder to see during the day. The simple fix was to disable the lights with wipers feature so my headlight no longer turn on when my wipers are engaged.
  22. Update to my earlier post. I retested the wiper/headlights today and it does dim my interior lighting when the wipers are on. I tested this while driving without any shade, so it had nothing to do with being parked under a tree as I thought might have happened earlier.
