If the dealer gave you a tentative build date, it should have a build code "d" which supposedly means that they have the parts. Mine was ordered on the 23rd of march and is scheduled for april 19th build. we'll see!!
  2. The drop would be "c" if used on a truck. Upsidedown makes a rise of "b" which turns out to be 3/4" on a 2" drop hitch.
  3. I don't have my journey yet, but I'm planning on using a 2" drop receiver flipped upside down. I used it on my caravan. It was a little low then, but should be a little higher on the journey.
  4. Did anyone notice that they changed the name of the "Uconnect 8.4n" to "Radio: Garmin Navigation" on the Dodge.ca website when building a journey????? !!!!! I guess they realize that they made a mistake.... Now to see how well they stand behind their mistake. If it weren't for one knowlegeable salesman, I wouldnt have ordered it either.
  5. What kind of work do you do that you would land in our little corner of the world?
  6. Personally, I never let my vehicles go over 5,000 KM. I think that the manufacturers try to stretch the service intervals so that they can advertise a lower cost of ownership. When we do oil changes in our garage, the people that wait for 10,000 have very black, dirty oil which can't be good for an engine!!
  7. Personally, I would get your local garage to check in to an aftermarket cooler or order the cooler from a dodge parts department. The light wiring can probably be ordered as a part as well. There really can't be that much involved.
  8. Maybe the spammers should check their application guide.... "03 Journey" ???????
  9. So... Did you get your tire replaced? I think that the H rating is for 210 KM/H and the T rating was for 180 KM/H. I just read the following: "The issue stems from Kumho's factory in Tianjin, where CCTV secretly filmed staff producing new tires with unacceptably high amounts of recycled rubber, raising safety concerns." I had started reading about all of the tire supply problems AFTER I had ordered my Journey. The salesman at my dealership checked with his parts department and let me know that they keep a set in stock. If I wreck 1 tire within 10000 km I may replace with the original, but if it is more tires or more KM than that, I will replace the whole set with 235/55r19's which is what dodge should have done in the first place...
  10. Well, at least the only tire dealer in our little town is on the list. Small consolation for a tire that no one can get!! lol Thanks for the link.
  11. Nice Pics!!!!! Nice weather too!! LOL BTW, your Check Engine Light is on!! Have fun with the new journey
  12. When I was ordering accessories from my dealer he said the "slush" mats did not show up in his list of parts for my 2011. I'm not sure if it is just a color difference or a shape difference. Many of the "jobber" brands show for 2009-2011 Journey in their application guides, but sometimes they haven't researched the fit very well. The accessory that has me worried is the hitch. With the changes to the rear fascia, the cutout for the hitch will be different! I guess time will tell.
  13. Thanks for all of the digging!!!! I was going to call my dealer and ask him about this, but I think I bothered him enough with my tire questions, paint shortage questions, trailer wiring questions........ HAha I think I read too much
  14. Thanks.. I'll check them out.
  15. Just wondering if anyone has come across a good (cheap) place to purchase tires and wheels online that ship from Canada? I had priced out some 17's for winter tires from Tirerack and was quite impressed with the site and price, until I found that the shipping would be $400!!!! I have all summer to find a set so I have time to shop!!
  16. Welcome!! If your weather in Manitoba is anything like ours in Western Saskatchewan, you will get some good use out of the All Wheel Drive!!! It is JUST starting to melt... A couple of weeks late!
  17. I agree.. I like the old one better, but mine will probably be coming with the new one as it is not built yet. Oh well! I'll get used to it.
  18. I had posted in another topic that I had come across this story at allpar.com ... http://www.allpar.com/news/index.php/2011/03/chrysler-cuts-color-selection-in-wake-of-japan-disaster Ours was only ordered a week ago.. Brilliant Black..... I wonder how much of the sparkly stuff they had in stock??? I guess that we should all be grateful that our lives are only affected in such trivial ways by this tragedy that has destroyed so many lives and livleyhoods..
  19. Perhaps MangoTango will be one of the few colors we can get soon!!!! Just came across this at allpar http://www.allpar.com/forums/topic/133016-chrysler-restricts-paint-colors-due-to-japan-quake/ Chrysler Group has informed its dealers that it will restrict orders for ten paint colors due a shortage of a pigment that is produced only by a factory located near the damaged nuclear power facility in northeastern Japan. According to a memo issued yesterday by Steve Beahm, Chrysler's v-p of U.S. sales operations, the restricted colors include brilliant black, blackberry, deep cherry red, redline, inferno red, bronze star, rugged brown, hunter green, ivory and billet metallic. The pigment, called Xirallic, is made at a factory operated by EMD Chemicals, an affiliate of Merck KGaA, in Onahama. It's used to add sparkle and intensity to a wide range of paint colors. Merck, which is based in Darmstatt, Germany, says the plant is in the 28-mile evacuation zone established by the Japanese government. Company officials say they don't know when workers will be able to reenter the plant and add that it..
  20. This is only an assumption on my part, but.... Maybe the hard drive would have to be reformatted as a FAT32 file type??? I had to do that with an external hard drive that I hooked up to my PS3..
  21. I'm not really sure that I like the new one better!?!? I guess I will have to see it in person. I wonder how that new rear setup will affect install of hitch??
  22. They say that the Journey is the best selling crossover in Canada!! In Canada, the LUX is sold as an R/T. Only in AWD. I think the improvements made in 2011 make it a much more attractive vehicle... Should see more of them on the road..
  23. Thanks Cat Man!! I've got an email in to my dealer. The service guys are supposed to make sure it works BEFORE I take possession. They are going to be sick of me before I even GET my new car!!! Ha
