  1. I have one that came with my car. I live in Saskatchewan and it is not mandatory to have a front plate. I would be willing to sell it for $15 plus freight to someone in canada. Just PM me.
  2. Last night, I installed my front mopar splash guards. There are some modifications required as I was previously told by geer. He cut his inner fender liner to make the splash guard fit, I chose to cut the splash guard itself.... Geer (or anyone else who has installed on the new fascia) did you cut the rear splash guard to fit the profile of the car better, or did you just leave it? I test fitted it and was kind of dissapointed at the amount of space between the fender and the guard where the grey part of the fascia meets the painted part. Perry
  3. After my fishin trip this weekend I will get her cleaned up and pull out the camera.
  4. We LOVE the car... In fact, my wife just texted me a few minutes ago, asking if it was OK to love a car or if it was crazy!!!!! The 8.4n is as quick as everyone said.. I am impressed. My phone paired flawlessly and actually sounds better on bluetooth than it does when using the handset. I LOVE the brilliant black... The black floormats are going to drive me crazy, trying to keep clean, but I will probably give up in about 3 months. There were no suprises, thanks to this forum!!
  5. Thanks... The hardest part of installing the bug deflector was understanding the crappy instructions!! The instructions are pictures only, but they don't make any sense. Using a drill on a 4 hour old car is a bit unnerving, but I got it done... If anyone is going to tackle it themselves, I can post my interpretation of the instructions when I get a moment.. Perry
  6. 150 Km drive from dealer was a pleasure!!! After reading EVERY post, watching EVERY youtube video, looking at EVERY internet picture...... IT'S IN MY DRIVEWAY!!!! Stayed up late installing bug deflector and sill protectors. Now i'm late for work because I slept in... gotta go... Perry
  7. Isn't the Journey being replaced by the Fiat Freemont in Europe???
  8. I would like to know if the newest builds have this update installed already.. Len (fourfifths) did you pick up your Journey today? Does the evic stay in KM/h when you shut off the car?
  9. FINALLY, my car is moving again!!! Sat in Regina (5 hours away) since the 1st with a status of "unloaded from railcar" "departed facility" tonight... can't wait
  10. LEN, LEN, LEN!!!!!! CHECK YOUR TRACKING NOW!! It says that your vehicle was received by carrier at Annacis Island.... You are going to get yours before me.. The trucking company that handles the vehicles around here is still 200 cars behind! Mine will not be picked up from railyard till the 13th AAAARRRRGGGHHHH. The GPS tag must have fell off of your car. They didnt know where it was until it was unloaded. HA
  11. Glad you figured it out...beeps kinda drive me insane!! Reminded me of a trick that we played on one of my customers at work. We had an expired gas detector that someone had left at the shop...they beep every minute or so to let you know they are expired... I put it in a glove under the seat of my customers truck. It drove him CRAZY for 2 days because it was so faint that he would only hear it at certain times.
  12. Is it possibly the sensor for a collision warnig system? I think I read in the manual somewhere that the uconnect will warn u if you are going to hit something.
  13. That was half the reason that i STILL don't have a journey.. They had one on the lot exactly like I wanted EXCEPT the "chrome" rim option and no bluetooth.... so I ordered..and waited ...and waited..and waited. ha
  14. I'm sure that a lot of people on this forum would appreciate a part number for that kit. I ordered my Journey with the $300 option, but many dealers did not even know that it WAS an option. Thanks Perry
  15. Yes it is.... http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/index.php?/topic/2222-lockpick-for-uconnect-touch/
  16. I am a FIRM beleiver in 5000 km oil changes and will NEVER go 13000 km.... The time between oil changes is not important unless you approach 1 year before making 5000 km. It has been discussed on here before and I think the manufacturers only state 13000 km so that they can claim a lower cost of ownership. They also say that oil changes are required more often in extreme conditions... but don't really define "extreme" Perry
  17. Beautiful Car!!! I think there were some posts earlier regarding the evic default. If you have your dealer look for a repair regarding "evic with garbled text," it should fix your problem. Enjoy your journey (only 1 more week till mine arrives )
  18. If you merely want to plug in a trailer that uses a 7 pin plug, you could use this adapter. http://www.hopkinstowingsolutions.com/products/adapters/standard/4-wire_flat_to_7_rv_blade_plastic_adapter.html If the trailer has brakes, you would need to install a brake controller, which gets more involved but is absolutely possible.
  19. Len, Sorry to rub it in, but my Journey is near it's final rail stop. As of the night of the 28th, it was 100 KM away and hasn't updated since. I look at your status once in a while and am sure that if it was mine I would go insane!!! It would sure be nice to find out exactly what is going on!!! Perry
  20. So Geer, did you get your hitch installed? Seeing pictures of the new rear fascia, I am getting a little worried because of the minimal clearance between the fascia and the tires. My car is supposed to be at the dealer by the end of the week (finally!!) and then the work begins!
  21. Of all the Journey interiors I've seen in pictures, this is the first white cloth one I have seen. I like it better than the black cloth. Although with 3 kids, I would have a tough time keeping it clean.
  22. I'm pretty sure they are hosing you... Dump in a can of injector cleaner every 3-4000 miles. Regular oil changes and air filter once in a while. If they insist on doing this service, I would ask to cancel the service plan so I could pay for my oil changes elsewhere. I have a 2005 caravan with 120,000 Km that wouldn't need all that crap.
  23. I'm sure glad that I didn't order a cargo mat!! LOL That is a crazy reason.. I'm sure thay could have let u pick up the car before they got the cargo mat!!
  24. Your Chicago interchange is scheduled for the 28th... It took 10 days for mine to get to that point. I presume that your ETA is going to be bumped again. Would have been quicker to go get it! LOL Perry
  25. That is SOOOOO strange!!!! The train that we thought we were sharing is now in Bensenville Illinois, waiting for CPR to hook on and drag it to Canada... My delivery date is now scheduled for June 3rd, but it changes every day! Hope they get their Stuff together and get your Journey on its journey. Good Luck Perry
