    bumper protector?

It's kinda funny that the black one lists 08, 09, 10 and the silver one lists 08, 09, 10, 11 ??? I think the black one would fit the 2011 as well.
  2. That is what I need to do as soon as I receive my Journey. I have a brake control out of my previous vehicle. Was there anything special involved in installing the controller? A picture of the mounted controller would be great, I'm not sure where to put mine. Was there anything out of the ordinary with the factory 7 pin? I have ordered an aftermarket one with LED lights , but don't really forsee any problems. Thanks Perry
  3. Awesome pics!!! Love the angles. Can't wait till mine comes, although I'm not sure what I will name her!!!????
  4. I live in a VERY small town (650 ppl.) There are 4 Dodge Journeys in town. All of them are 2009, 2010's... I think mine will be the first 2011 model.
  5. He's already had a few vehicles through with cartriges on top, so I can't pull that one on him... I ordered a couple of filters in, even though I don't have the vehicle yet. He laughs at me everytime he sees them on the shelf. Man are they small!!!
  6. From what I've read, the cost should be approximately List minus 2000 (advertised discount) minus 2500 (margin)... I know that on my R/T, I dealt for 4000 off of list which would be about 500 over invoice. I'm not an employee, so Employee Choice is not for me i guess. I have not done any dealing on the extended warranty yet, although I am interested. I think it is a good idea, as electrical problems could get quite expensive. I work at an agricultural dealership and we have an automotive mechanic who will do my maintenance, but these new vehicles are too advanced for him to repair.
  7. What were the names of your previous vehicles? Why did you name your journey roxanne? LOL
  8. That seems to be what is happening to mine!! The ETA changed from June 3rd to May 30th, to May 31st, to June 3rd again and now it is June 6th!!! AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH
  9. The R/T was off the .ca website, on the website, off the website .... for a while. Hope you are able to decide on (and find) the configuration that you want. The Journeys seem to be selling pretty well in Canada!
  10. Trailer brakes require a brake controll mounted in the cab, as far as I know. I took the one out of my previous vehicle and plan on installing it when I get my journey. It really takes a load off of the vehicles brakes.
  11. Probably the same place that the R/T went a while ago... It will be back!!
  12. I wonder if getting box liner sprayed on the bumper would work?
  13. Hey Len, Have you checked your tracking lately? It says in bay at facility???? That is strange, yesterday it was moving and now it's not!!! Mine was interchanged at Laredo today. I'm sure glad that the insight tracking is working again, except I may wear out my computer I've been checking so often!! Perry
  14. Turmel, I have a feeling that your eta is going to change. My car was scheduled for the interchange at Laredo TX on the 16th, same as yours. It left Toluca on the 13th and was interchanged a couple of hours ago. Perry
  15. My main worry is that the new fascia will have a deeper profile than the old. This would make the cutaway a little more difficult to do. I WAS going to try the install without cutting the fascia like a previous post showed, but I don't think it will work with the new. I couldn't find the online instructions, but I have the hitch at work. I will have a look at them there. I assume that they make no mention of the 2 peice NEW rear fascia. Hey Geer... It's Sunday... Go pick up that hitch and get at 'er!!! I want to see how you do it before I start!!
  16. Great write up Geer! Glad you like your Journey. Makes me even MORE impatient. June 6th can't come soon enough..
  17. HAHA That's strange... I guess we are not on the same train.. OR it's a REALLY long train!!
  18. Yep..... I checked this afternoon, but got busy at work before I had a chance to post.. as of 2:32 ET we are On Railcar - Ing Buchanan Lopez, GJ Wherever THAT is!!!????
  19. Has anyone installed the mopar trailer hitch with the NEW rear fascia?? My Journey won't be at dealer until 6th of June and I need to tow my trailer on the 10th!! Just trying to get a head start on the install. Pictures would be most helpful. There are a few excellent posts on installs with the old fascia. Hope it fits with the new!!
  20. My order was placed March 23rd (Black, R/T, Uconnect Voice...) and was built on May 11th... I think your dealer is feeding you a line of $^!%... Too bad the insight link isn't working anymore, you could track your vehicle with its VIN.
  21. Has anyone tried tracking a vehicle lately? The favorite that I had created using mainmangos link with my vin quit working tonight. You don't have permission to access /inl_dealer/INLRouter.jas on this server. ??????
  22. Congrats on the new car... If the battery is in the same place as the 2010, then see this post!!! http://www.dodgejour...h__1#entry10787 Nice "cut away" picture of the battery!! LOL
  23. WoooooHooooo.... Our cars were built and are at the facility waiting for a train!!!! The planets MAY be on our side!!!!
  24. AND... Driving on the #2, you can check the fuel economy at 150 Km/h!!!! LOL

    Starter

I dont know which engine you have, so it is hard to compare prices. I checked rockauto.com and the starter for a 4 cylinder 2.4 was close to that price, so $165 seems fair. $95 labor is not out of line either. As long as the starter is the problem, that price should be fine.
