  1. The tech had phoned me to let me know that the problem was what I thought and that the charge was $156. I asked if the service manager was in as I would like to talk to him when I pick up the car. After a brief conversation with the tech where I asked him if they would think it was fair if Microsoft would charge them for every time an updated needed to be done. When I got there 20 minutes later the tech already had talked to the manager and the charge was waved as a onetime good will gesture. Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction with your constructive post.

  3. Thank you for agreeing that a software issue should not be charged. The tech was very nice and assured me that he would keep the charge of $168/hr to a minimum. I took a print out of the TSB with me and told him that I believe that this most likely would be the problem.   4. So you are saying Unless ALL vehicles require a fix it is not a faulty product. I should be grateful that they created a fix for the non-faulty product and should be happily paying for it and not have some ‘conspiracy theory’ and expecting them to carry the cost for it. Got you! My apologies.! Thank you for educating me! Now let’s not waste any more of our time on it and let's go back to our interests.
  5. I have a 2011 Journey R/T with the same problem. Took it into the dealership today. I was told since the vehicle is past the 3 yr warranty I would have to pay for it. Great, they know they have a faulty product but will not own up to it. Curious to see how much it will cost me.
  6. Not having to use a key turning it off and it running so quiet I manage last week to return to a car that was still running! Good thing it was cool and I was only gone for 20 minutes. This will not happen again!
  7. Congratulation! We too just love our Journey! I felt the same way about all the options when I got it but you will get the hang of it in no time. Our sales person took a lot of time explaining everything to us. He just phoned last week to see how we are doing with it. I also love that you can change the radio station from your steering wheel.
  8. I tried it and it workes. When you went to the web site did you change the VIN# in the web address? You will get the error message if you don't change it. The VIN# that's in there will no longer work since that vehicle is no longer in the system. When I put my # in there I get the error message too since I already have my Journey.   11. It’s on the way and you will love it. We at least do. We try to find a reason to take it for a drive. We will drive to Calgary on the weekend. That will be a nice drive from Edmonton. We like to see the fuel consumption on the highway.
  12. This afternoon we picked up my car and it's sleeping in the garage. Everything is great. I have to say that the dealership and my salesman Cameron were just wonderful.

  14. No, I don't carry in cash not that I wouldn't be willing to do so but have the funds to pay with certified cheque or Bank draft whichever the dealer prefers. I know, but I am old school - first you save for your 'wants' and then you buy. Hs served me well all my live.
