  1. Yes, there's a few threads on the forums here with similar feelings. My tranny seemed the same at first, but seems better now. Perhaps the computer adapted and learned? Or maybe I'm just used to it now? I don't know... There are no updates currently that we're aware of.
  2. There's no way do to this right now... at least none that I know of. Previous systems have had modifications available that allowed for movies and GPS text entry while moving, but the new 8.4n doesn't yet. Search for "in motion hack" to read about this mod for the mygig (and possibly other) systems. I'm keeping my eye out for any potential work arounds to this as well. It would be nice, for example, for the passenger to be able to input GPS searches and what-not while moving...and the movies for the kids would be cool, too. Lemme know if you find anything, too...
  3. Love the pics and the cars, mainmango. You'll have to compare the Charger 3.6 to the Journey 3.6. They're the same engine, of course, but the Charger's intake is supposed to be better tuned, with something like 15 more hp to show for it. I would love to see a side-by-side picture comparison!
  4. My 2011 Lux is very roughly an average of about 19 miles per gallon, US. This is a mix of highway and city driving. We're not flogging on it, but we're not necessarily being as gentle as possible, either. Just pretty much driving normally. 3,400 miles on it. Just had first oil change at dealer. We get free changes every 3,000 miles through 36,000 miles, so we're gonna use it. We'll see if the fresh oil and the "break in" has done anything to economy. Maybe I'll watch it a little closer the next few tanks.
  5. The fascia you show, Draver17, is what we're calling the "new" fascia, available late 2011.
  6. Welcome to the forums! Sounds like you're Lux is quite similar to mine - Black on Black with every option!
  7. I am not aware of any published upgrades for the UConnect system...
  8. Welcome...from another 2011 Lux owner. Not a lot of Lux's on the board....I think mostly because there's a lot of our Canadian friends here, and the top-of-the-line model up there is the R/T. Either way...welcome!
  9. Any updates? Did you get a letter? Can you paste it? No letter here...and traffic data still not on.
  10. Some AllPar articles: This one talks about the 2011 Dodge Challenger, and how its 3.6L Pentastar V6 has "13 horsepower increase over other Pentastar engines is due to "a more aggressively designed intake air system" which increased airflow from 214 to 220 g/s." And here is a quote fromanother article about the V6: "Despite the four variants of the 3.6 already being sold — rear drive (290 hp), AWD (292 hp), FWD (283 hp), and Challenger (305 hp), there are just two head designs, two intake manifolds, and one set of internal components, including cam and pistons, according to an SAE article by Paul Weissler. The Challenger's 13 horsepower increase is due to "a more aggressively designed intake air system" which increased airflow from 214 to 220 g/s." And the referenced article written by Paul Weissler can be found here. Hope that helps!
  11. Wow, can't say I've heard of that one being a "common" problem...but I've got to imagine the computer registered something. Usually (on MOST cars anyway), when the check engine light blinks (as opposed to stay solid)....it usually means the car is now in "limp" mode, where the computer limits the engine RPM, etc for whatever reason. It specifically does this to prevent damage from what ever caused limp mode in the first place. Now I have heard of cars coming out of limp mode (on their own), but everytime there's been some sort of trouble code registered with it. I'm glad it's at the dealer, and I sure hope they come up with something! Keep us informed.
  12. And you can load music on a USB thumb drive, too (it's in the center arm-rest console)...
  13. Not that I'm aware of, but I guess there's a first for everything! Welcome to the boards...
  14. Cool. How much do those door sills cost? I've seen them before, and they're pretty cool.
  15. That Charger is bad ass. Awesome. Welcome to the forums. I love tweaking vehicles as well, and I'm looking forward to seeing how others mod their Journey's.
  16. I just received an email from Dodge thanking me for my recent purchase and asking me to fill out a "short survey" online. I clicked the link, and I was actually pleasantly suprised. The survey basically had check boxes for every little component of the Journey, and it wanted a click for each area that I had concerns. Clicking the "Audio" section, for example, took me to specific questions about the 8.4n, etc. There were also comment boxes where you could free-text in comments and concerns. I made sure to mention the problems we all have with voice command, with no traffic data from Sirius, etc, etc. We'll see what come of it! Overall, though, I was happy that they were at least showing some interest in my opinion. Anyone else get a similar email?

    2011 R/T

Strange. Never heard of something like this before.
  18. I have the full UConnect system with Bluetooth on my 2011 Lux, and it paired up and works actually fairly well with both my phone and my wife's phone. It pulled the contact list from the phone and displays it on the Journey's screen. Voice commands (i.e. "Call Home") seem to work fine. Sound quality is good - they come out of the car's speakers, and I think the mic is up in/around the rearview mirror. I'm told I sound ok when talking from the driver's seat. <shrug>
  19. My 2011 Lux came from the dealer with 42 psi in each tire. :o
  20. Looks great, RaiderJay6! Thanks for the pics.
  21. Agreed, drb227. I'm with you 100%. A new thread is probably a good idea...we have a bunch scattered around don't we?
  22. I can confirm it does NOT work with either my phone (a Sprint Samsung phone) nor my wife's Blackberry. I, too, would be interested in hearing if anyone has a phone where this feature works. I'm replacing my phone soon with the HTC Evo 4G (Sprint)...it runs Android. We'll see, I guess!
