  1. So far it has been very good, I really can't complain too much. We have had an abnormally large amount of snow and VERY cold weather out here in Western Canada. I have a 2010 Journey R/T and so far the 19" Kumo Tires haven't been an issue with me or my car. I have checked this size of tire is now more readily available here. I do agree the Kumo rep must have been a hell of a salesman. :D Terry
  2. My 2010 Owners DVD played just fine on my home setup. Have you tried starting it manually and not letting the auto start take over. Just a thought. Terry
  3. As I have mentioned before, I was glad to see the change from Navteq to Garmin for the GPS system, because IMHO Navteq sucks. I am not afraid to say it either so if someone from Navteq cares to debate it. Go ahead make my day!! IMHO and from personal experience this is a vast improvment. I have a Garmin Nuvi 255 that seems to have much better maps than the Journey's Navteq maps. I paid for the lifetime upgrades ($120) for my Garmin and I get updates 4x per year. I just bought a onetime Navteq upgrade ($200) for my vehicle and it's map is not as new as the Garmin. I live in a new area of my city, the Garmin map shows my streets while the Navteq map doesn't. I am quite familiar with GPS's, having 3 of them along with one for my many cameras. Terry
  4. Look forward to seeing the photos of them, as I mentioned in one of your other threads, At 5'-9" I doubt I'll have any use for them but I am still curious to see them. Terry
  5. Good luck on your backets, I wish I was a few inches taller, because 5'-9" is not tall
  6. As others have commented, great job etc. You have done a great job integrating the Garmin GPS into the car. I do have a question though, do you have to drive around with the cover open so that the GPS will find the satellites? The OEM Navteq in my Journey and everyone elses's is lacking, IMHO and from personal experience the Garmin is a vast improvment over the OEM Navteq. 7. This isn't quite the answer the OP was looking for. There is a difference between Chrysler Infinity and Non Infinity Systems. I know this first hand having a 2000 Grand Caravan Sport with an Infinity System and a 2005 PT Cruiser Convertible with a Non infinity System. I had got a Sony stereo at a very good price that I was going to put in my van. It played MP3's, had bluetooth, iPod etc. and had a list of great features.I was told by my local Best Buy that it was not easily compatible with my van's stereo, I ended up putting it in my Cruiser with no problems. You can find more info about this problem on the Internet. Terry
  8. I would assume that they do, but I won't bet the "farm" on it. The reason I say this is because, although the 2010 & 2011 have many differences, I don't think Dodge made any structural or sheetmetal changes to the body. I rather doubt they made any changes that would affect the fitment of these liners. I could be wrong so if there is some info out there to support this please advise me and the other readers here. Terry
  9. I was very surprised when mine came with body coloured side mirrors, so I added Chrome sill plates, chrome mirror covers and a chrome gas tank cover. Looks good.......I think Terry
  10. Thanks, I was just curious as i have added some chrome to my ride mirrors, sill plates and gas tank cover to start with. Terry
  11. Just a little addition to OhareFred's post, is the shuffle control not done with the iPod and not the car? Terry
  12. Looks good! I have some questions though, one has already been asked and that is have you removed the roofrack croassmembers already? My car came with them, although I'm sure if they are standard or an option. Did the chrome sill plates with Dodge written on them come with the car or did you purchase them separately? I have to admit I do like your dash and GPs more than my 2010 AWD R/T dash etc. Terry
  13. I agree.... it amazes me how much the rear bumper moves. When my dealer put my Mopar hitch on they removed the entire rear bumper. Terry
  14. Greetings from a Regina driver although I bought my Journey out at Indian Head. Terry
  15. It is the temperature sensor for the Automatic Cimate Control Terry
  16. That would be my guess also. I do find many of the posts to be quite helpful and appreciate that. BTW what is a 2010 Dodge Journey SRT Design? I have only heard of Journey, Journey SE, Journey SXT and Journey R/T Terry
  17. It's amazing that this costs so much, when I had my "05 black Convertible PT Cruiser, I had one put on it an it probably only cost me $50 installed by my dealer. I realize they are different cars, But Seriously!! Terry
  18. To quote Fleshwound "the message is an algorithm based program that measures duty cycles, ( cold climates, short trips, stop and go traffic) will all shorten the time between oil changes. I think the 10000 km is merely a failsafe number that the industry uses. Change you oil or risk voiding your warranty "
  19. It's that way on my R/T too. Terry
  20. I could be wrong, but doesn't it only uses the compressor at certain settings such as defrost because you don't want moisture on the interior of your windshield. :D Terry
  21. I could be wrong <_< but I don' think there is such an animal. (2010 DODGE JOURNEY SRT-6)
  22. You can click on the MyFuelly logo at the bottom of my post if you are curious as to what I get in my 2010 Journey R/T. I must admit it is "all over the map" and is really dependant on the type of driving you do. My mileage is still around 9700 kms. Regards Terry

  24. In case anybody is wondering, those things that look like wings on top are my kayak carriers which are used to transport my two 17' touring kayaks, they will also carry my four windsurfing boards. I used to have a Grand Caravan and all my windsurfing gear went inside it, now my boards and masts will have to ride on top.
